JCan
I'll bite. '73 240z goal was to make the car look as close to stock as possible, however we could not resist making some changes ('77-L28 block, '83-P90 head, '70-SU carbs, '83 Distributor/electronic ignition)
ogree1
It's still a long way off but here is my L28

ryant67
So many pristine engine bays!I'll need to put some real elbow grease into cleaning mine up once it comes out of storage in Spring, sigh... The carbs need rebuilt anyway, so it will give me something to work on while that's happening I suppose.
24OZ
Ryant I like it. Where did you get the black AN fittings on your carb fuel rail? I've only ever seen them sold in red or blue. Also neat catch tank set up, I also like the y pipe and first time I've seen those extensions on the strut tower to move the bar further back, did you make those? Dershum
I finaly got the engine compartment all cleaned up. All that shiny polished aluminum is hard to keep clean!! What is the black wishbone-shaped doohickey on top of the valve cover? Some sort of clip for holding the plug wires?
280zex
What is the black wishbone-shaped doohickey on top of the valve cover? Some sort of clip for holding the plug wires? Its the 280zx fuel rail cooling fan ducting. This is a factory part installed by Nissan to help prevent fuel rail vapor lock (280zx only?) I had to install this to keep the carb cool, it can get too hot and boil the fuel off = realy bad...
