Tony D
"There isn't really a place you can hide a lojack that they can't find almost immediately. In fact on exotics that they expect to have that kind of thing, the second they get in the car they run a cutoff wheel across the width of the headliner because the wires almost always go through there." That's all fine and good, but they make small dongles for tracking your teenager driver (or miscreant spouse I suppose) which are fairly cheap, and can be put just about anywhere. They don't LOOK like a car alarm, they look like a USB Jumpdrive. It's self-powered and active pinging to the satnet. You can track it over the internet. I see them all the time in the SkyMall Magazines in the airplanes. They expect a LoJack on exotics, but they don't expect something like that. Something like this makes me think I should probably buy one or two and shuffle them around the cars that are parked near the street. I could track it form overseas as long as I have internet access. Come to think of it, while I park at the Airport I could make sure those Valets are behaving themselves....
musickraver
The best thing to get, a small gps tracking device. Place it in your car, the moment you find it stolen, check your computer, it'll give you real time gps as well as logging the previous gps coordinates. There not too expensive nowadays. Nelsonian
That gps tracking sounds very promising and I am definately going to look into that.
ModernS30
Fuel cut offs, no steering wheel. Boot is a great idea.
datsun723
You can always get a cheap pay as you go phone with gps and just make sure its charged and hidden. Probably $20 a month.
ModernS30
I was just searching craigs list. Nothing, sorry man. It's possible so call this guy and question him just don't say stolen car. Ask if he has any other parts and stuff. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/pts/1675152356.html It's just a front bumper but it's off a 72 and it could be off your car? Also the exhaust and rear bumper is different, do say they have 9 others so I would get in touch?

ModernS30
Recovered! Details at 11 Yay, hoping its still in one piece and at the very last in good shape. If its depressing don't give up man. If there is anything I can do to help you rebuild it then let me know. I don't really think I have any parts that would help you though.
