      Hi Mike,

Sorry but your email is not working.

What information about Ferrari 250 GTO replicas can I help you with?

Hello Dick, I have been having trouble signing in to the forum, every time I enter my password it is rejected? Each subsequent time I reset the password... same thing happens.

I have sent an email to the forum admin but haven't heard back yet.

I did receive this message from you, hopefully you will receive my response.

Thanks for getting back, I'm looking to purchase a 250 GTO, either a complete car or kit, I would prefer a completed car or a project that has stalled.

I have read all 52 pages of the forum, your input is knowledgable and appreciated by the group so I thought I would try reaching out.

i also had a reply from Michelle but I'm not sure she has received my response, she indicated she might be aware of a couple Canadian projects and would get back. Perhaps she has tried but no luck yet.

there was a fellow who was quite active some time ago from Saskatchewan , he went by Con Brio, unfortunately he stopped posting in 2010, not sure if he is still around?

Anyway I hope to hear back, my main email ( mike at autosport canada dot com) should be working, either way thanks again for any feedback you are able to provide.

      Regards,

      Mike

  3. See if you have a Gas Tank Renu https://www.gastankrenu.com/ near you. They did mine over 18 years ago and it is still holding up.
  4. It looks like the original Alpha 1 GTO dash but without the leather look finish. The Alpha and later John Washington (Reaction Research Velo Rossa) dash is bonded to the original steel Z dash skeleton. https://www.ztrix.com/installation-guides/alphabet-dash-installation.html?highlight=WyJkYXNoIl0= This is what my Alpha 1 GTO dash looks like but it can be used with the original Z instruments. Oh, and to answer your original question, I think John lists his dash for $345.
  5. I am having this problem also and it appears to be somewhat random as well. Like Boy From OZ, I cannot reply to the "250 GTO Owners" thread. Please see if there is something you can do Dan. Thanks.
  6. For those who might be interested, John Washington from Reaction Research http://www.reactionresearch.com/automotive.html has started a new GTO Replica Register Club on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/GTORR/
  7. Yes and no. I don't know what "for obvious reasons" means but John Washington has a little bit of the GTO Replica Registry (GTORR) on line as part of his Reaction Research site: http://www.reactionresearch.com/gtorr/index.html However, I think John is to busy with his other companies and endeavors so he hasn't done much with it.
  8. Chelle put a BMW in her awesome Z car based 250 Ferrari GTO replica so you might want to check with her. Please note that she did stretch the wheelbase. http://forums.hybridz.org/gallery/image/8348-ferrari-gto-replica-with-v12/ I have also seen a few Z cars with Jaguar V12's in them.

  10. Welcome 1alfanatic, Sorry I can't help with the wheels. Most of us with wire wheels run custom Dayton wheels. Nice wheels but they are not Borrani's. Sounds like a very interesting project so how about posting a few pictures? BTW, Chelle, who posted above, has a beautiful Z based GTO with the longer wheelbase and BMW V12. She built it herself and is quite an enthusiast, so if you had any questions, I am sure she would be willing to answer them.
  11. I know I have done this before but here's a few pics.
  12. Unless you plan on always running 100% pure gas you will have up to 10% Ethanol in it. Ethanol is nasty stuff and really hard on old cars that were not designed for it. It is amazing how much, and how fast, Ethanol absorbs moisture. Unless your tank is protected it will cause huge problems. I suggest that you might see if there is a Gas Tank RENU dealer http://www.gastankrenu.com/ in your area that that could clean and coat your tank. They did mine over 18 years ago and it is still holding up great.
  13. I had mine done in Sterling Heights, MI but there is a GasTankRenu place in Ann Arbor which shouldn't be to far from you. Gas Tank Renu-USA L.D. Lake, Inc 4001 Jackson Road Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103 (734) 761-7834 Larry Lake
  14. Mine was rusted from many years of sitting as well. I took it to Gas Tank Renu http://www.gastankrenu.com/ 11 years ago and it has been fine ever since.
