  1. http://www.thezstore.com/store/graphics/00000001/large501751.jpg there you go, those wheels are RKR.
  2. 3 years old, but want to see what tires you guys have updated to since 245 45/ 16 is almost non existent
  3. Hey Voltron, any useful links that helped you DIY body work on you car, If you can please share. The car came out really nice, im going to attempt to paint my car soon.
  4. Ok, so I have a 3.9lsd with close ratio. Stock l26. So I have a question within this question. If we have same size tires and wheels and same trans and diff, but a different engine (turbo, NA, high hp, low hp, etc)will the rpm across speed be the same?
  5. Thanks guys, I can't wait till car is done. 2 months or less. @Carolina, I can't believe I've never seen your post. I had to assume try were goin to work. I like how yours came out, I need to look into coating the inner barrel. I live like 30 mins away from vrwheels. I get a good cash discount from them, as far as machine work everything looks and fits fine. Though, I'm going over to Rotiform to check machine work. Yes, they stopped making these wheel for more than 20 years now. Thanks for sharing and I hope to follow progress on your car too.
  6. I have been driving around with these tail lights for a while, looks original, I think I have some pictures. Ill post some later.
  7. Here are some shoots of the wheels, these are test fit wheels, the lips will be polished. The lips are 3.5", but the rear will be 4" and front will stay with 3.5" lips. The fronts have been opened to 73.1mm. The test fit was a success, fits like a glove. It clears the spring perch thanks to my coil overs. The powder coat is bloodred, I think this is the color combo I was looking for. Its like a chocolate-red velvet cake, haha. Hope you guys like it, I sure do. Tires will be 225-45-16 and 215-45-16, a stretch, but 16" market is really limited.
  8. Hey abes, the wheels are done need to snap pictures. Wow, 17" are nice, was lookin into those. Well I got 4" polished lips for $180 in 16". But check out vrwheels, call and ask for Jack. They have 17" lips ranging al the way up to 5". They have great prices.
  9. Man thats expensive, specially for intake. I got charged $50 per wheel faces on my wheels for $50 at a reputable wheel company. It came out even cheaper when I bought the powder from, Powderbythepound.com. You should look into buying like half a pound which is like $10 and have a variety of colors to choose from and find a cheaper place or have the same guy charging you $150, less.
  10. John, do you sell the dp camber plates individually, don't see them listed on your site.
  11. +1 for ground control and illuminas, you know what type of shocks you are running and are easily replaceable. In the long run when you finish the kit, it would cost similar to the complete coilover strut kit. I went this route to buy coilovers first then shocks and not blow all at once.
  12. One volk will equal to almost a complete set of Rota RBr. If you have money for Volks you can custom make wheels with whatever specs you want.
  13. Thanks for the Help guys! EEkkk, It took a while to get the joke, guess I do need to grow a little older to understand it on the first encounter.
  14. I am about to start port matching my e88 head which came out of my 260z. The Intake/Exhaust combo gasket for the e88 seems different than the p90 head. I was wondering If I can use a p90 intake/exhaust gasket to port match e88 head. The P90 gasket I have has the diamond shape for the exhaust(6 corners) as opposed to the e88 square (4 corner) exhaust side. The Intake seems larger in diameter(p90) though it does have injector U hole. Is it even possible to use the p90 intake/exhaust gasket on the e88 when installed? Brian.
  15. 280zx Turbos never ever had an LSD Differential. They are open 3.54 for turbo models and 3.9 open for N/A. A 300zx turbo built from 4/87-1989 had r200 3.7LSD unless it was a white shiro built only in 88 which had a VLSD.
  16. Douglas, thanks for your input. You are right, white can go with anything. I was thinking about gold champagne or red or orange. I will be ditching chrome for fiberglass bumpers. Check out vr wheels, they h e good pricing. Thanks
  17. Update: wheels are almost done, just need to choose color. I like orange like the air box on 240z/260z air cleaner. It's Chevrolet orange. I found this: http://www.stanceworks.com/2011/09/miata-that-could/ Don't know what color to powder coat, I have 904 white z.
  18. John, I mean when you turn the companion flange by hand when driveshaft is disconected. I feel there is a difference on my diffs that I have owned, by turning it by hand some are easier to do than others. @Rebekahs, I will give it a try. I am using half 75/140(I think) and half Lucas oil stabilizer.
  19. I have had many differentials in my car. From 3.36 up to 4.11, all have had different yoke stiffness. Some were easy to turn by hand and others a little harder. Does the stiffness of the yoke affect acceleration of the car? I am assuming it kind of does, but im not sure. What is involved in making the companion flange/yoke less resistant? Is it backlash? Brian.
  20. you could visit beta motorsports it in La Habra, CA. Like 20-30mins outside downtown LA, I think he might have some suspension parts to sell you.
  21. Go to his site and email him. He will usually give you a call or urgent reply on email.
  22. I have an early 260z and want to upgrade alternator in the L26 so it can be ready for the upcoming L28et. I don't have the seat belt interlock anymore as the Previous owner had it disabled years ago. The only thing I currently have that works with the alternator is the Fuel pump the 260z came with that turns on over 400rpm. I want to upgrade to a 60-70amp from a turboZX or ZX. I have access to diode, but wanted to know which upgrade I should do. The GM 1 wire or the zxt. If I do the ZXT will I need the external voltage regulator and will upgrade be easier If I have the seat belt interlock already disconnected? I've read evilC's write: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/102534-picked-up-an-early-260z/page__p__987620#entry987620 and it seems easy to do. If I go this route can I ditch external voltage Reg since ZXT is internal? Brian
