  1. should of rocked the racing stripe
  2. yeah thats what I meant by euro spec Where else would someone justify putting an m3 engine in a s13
  3. My worst was when I slipped a disc about a month ago. Well slipped it twice in a week and a half span. It was worse the second time because the area was already swollen. Grabbed anything that I could hang onto when it happened, don't really remember anything after that for like 5 min and when I was coherent, I was in the same position when I was before . I was given oxycodone as well as a girdle (back brace)
  4. If anyone's curious, this was what he sent
  5. I would think that you can some how mod an old aftermarket vtec controller to do the cam switching. Don't know much about the whole variable cam systems. Wonder if fuel, in general, needs to be adjusted for the different cam timings
  6. 200sx? looks like a 240sx to me, but who knows? it being a m3 engine, its probably euro spec

    Multiple engines

seen a funny car with 2 sbc in it. They coupled them with a matching set of gears. One on the flywheel end of the crank and one on the crank pulley of the other. Then they attached it with a double motorcycle chain, so it was just long enough to the gears.
  8. Man the spammers must have nothing to do. I just got some spam in my PM from "Appothe" selling meds or something.
  9. I think you should change the title. Its very misleading.
  10. Just to warn you guys, DOT approved just means that it won't do harm to your vehicle. Look for 50 state legal. I had an argument with a fellow locally to me, that worked for a HID retailer/installer. He said that they were street legal. I told him they aren't... His logic is because he got a ticket and then he asked the clerk to present his with the document that says why, clerk couldn't find it, so it was thrown out... rebuttals went back and forth and I presented this. http://forums.officer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41131 and this is the actual document. http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/interps/files/21118.ztv.html These are federal standards (50 state). summaries to the parts that applies; its legal to fit NON-Halogen bulbs into a halogen headlight/housing. Not in the documents, but under the car manufacturer regulations: HID headlights can be no higher than 4200k. Just keep this in mind
  11. more info is needed. lowered springs? after market struts? ect. size of wheels?
  12. Just cut out the portion with a dremel with a cutoff wheel leaving the sides in tacked . then grab some card board and cut a piece that matches the hole, and use that to cut and bend a new piece for some scrap sheet metal and weld it in.
  13. With the C5 subframe, you just need to build a "cage" to mount the upper control arms and struts. You can do that with it off the car, so its just one complete unit and then fab mounts to attach it into the chassis and then you're pretty much done, beside the drive line
  14. use a compressor to blow/clean out the system. reattach the pump and use teflon tape on all the fitting. there should be a check valve on the passenger side (assuming you have a 280z. don't know on the zx). You can get a recharge can from any auto parts store, heck I saw a couple at fred meyers in the auto section. Just screw on the fitting on the check valve and press the button. It should come with a gauge on the can to see if its full.

  17. I guess thats only thing I find good about living in alaska
  18. ehh~ I don't think the wheels aren't that bad. The hatch can be replaced, but the just hope the rear panel is just bondo'd in so someone can fix it
  19. I say, a spray bottle filled with acetone
  20. moved the cross member about 1/2 - 1 inch forward.
  21. talk to the clerk, not an officer. i.e. someone without a badge.
  22. look at the VIN plates on the door jam and the engine compartment on the driver side. 2600cc = 260, 2800cc = 280z. And see if the actual VIN on the plates corresponds the VIN above the brake booster on the firewall.
  23. Up here, you can pay at the local PD. Also up here, if you happen to "forget" to pay, they just tack another $10 per month its not paid.
  24. sun roof as a rear window?
