  1. I wouldn't mind having one . it would cut cost on what size trailer I would need . And probably gets great gas milage
  2. Agreed. I would drill holes on the inner flange and just go to Ace and buy some 4mm bolts
  3. Haven't heard of them before, and I have no idea Inless you have a shop and/or your house is located on an industrial power grid, I beleive that welder isn't going to work
  4. Lol there was a mini vette one that I posted on this forum a WHHIIIILLLEEE ago . I'l try to dig it up . Wonder what motor is has in it EDIT: found it.
  5. I thought buick was already dead?
  6. Not sure how big the zx opening is, but you can go to home depot and buy some rain gutter grates and try using that. I personally would run it in a sandbox (sandbox attached to a vibrating motor) for a couple minutes to clean up the burs, but then you would have to paint it.
  7. Search HID. Basically the same idea as what you are thinking of, but without the additional circuitry.
  8. Those welds look clean for a MIG. Well on the subject of welders. Whats a pretty good cheap TIG welder?
  9. The military ground transport "Humvee" and the consumer "Hummer" have NOTHING in common besides the similar body styling and the H1. The H2 was basically a Tahoe and the H3 is basically a GMC Canyon. 1. Who cares- Obama has insured that GM's warranty work will be covered. 2. Who cares- This about pontiac going bust, not ALL OF GM. Employees at the factory aren't separated by brand labels. The solstice and sky are made in the same freakin plant.
  10. I 2nd hummer. They only had ONE car in that line. Well who cares? If you really wanted a pontiac, then just import a holden. Its the same freaking thing. And I don't think that they will actually kill the solstice. They'll most likely rebadge it to something else. Kinda like how they did with the Neon (I know not GM ). They already sell it in other markets under different names BTW I think the Saturn Sky looks a lot better than the Solstice. In korea the Sky is sold as a daewoo o_O. GX2 to be more precise.
  11. Or you can just watch all of them on youtube I have them all on my phone
  12. Nice. Looking at the day shot. I wasn't too impressed, but the dark shot had me
  13. IIRC the 240z had a more rounded roof, because of that, My assumption it that the 240z has more head room. Have you tried to remove the stock seats and look at how the runners are? My parts car came with some weird spacers.
  14. Not sure where to put this. Is there a way to remove the hardlines with out damaging them or dropping the rear end? I unbolted the mounts and cut all the soft lines. I'm too concerned with the brake lines but I NEED the fuel lines. Its loose, but I don't want to force anything if possible. This is off my parts car. I managed to cut the ones on my project car, when I didn't mover them out of the way enough and cut out the floors . I have a hardline bending/flaring kit, if its just easier to run new ones.
  15. they are the stock ones. nuff said. I'll come back and post in a month what "custom" lights are.
  16. We have lazy moose that don't care/don't realize that they are going to get hit . Had a crazy a$$ friend that would stick his car's cruise control on and have his body half way out the window and try to drive along side the moose and smack it as he passed. Man, I miss those days lol
  17. I gave you a reason why they look larger and a second reason why they wouldn't be custom. Deal with it. Making "custom" turn signals that are maybe a few mm larger seems stupid to me, when the stock ones work and have no fitment issues. If you are going to make turn signals, why would you make them almost the exact same as the stock ones, but have to modify everything else to get them to fit? You can go a totally different design. The amount of effort in going something different is almost the same effort of doing as you imply. When you open the door of fabbing your own parts, designing around stock parts is merely a guideline.
  18. What you can do, is just have the shop weld flanges on the cat and the piping, so you can technically install it yourself, just by bolting it up. So they won't get in trouble, because "they" didn't "install" it
  19. If it was just me in the car. I would of had the thought "Oh, It would be nice to get rid of this van" lol. I would of just aimed for a graze .
  20. I would of thought americans would of been the ones to make a show like that. Guess itsa a good thing the brits started it lol
  21. I hate you. lol wish my car had floor pans
  22. It just looks bigger because the orange color is more prominent then the rest of the car, giving the optical illusion of it being bigger than is actually is. And you have to ask yourself, if they are bigger, why would anyone go and try to put an effort in make larger ones made, just to find out that spoiler needs to be modified. Seem counterproductive to me.
  23. You just put some outdoor double sided tape between the panel and the frame and secure it with screws. You're making things more complicated than it needs to be.
  24. aluminum tubes for the inner fenders and debating on either aluminum panels, just tapping and screwing them in place for easy maintenance later on, or doing the same with fiberglass. But I have to get my new headlights to I can fab up a plug for the headlight housings, before the panels become an issue.
  25. torque down to 18-22 lbs. and then back off the nut about 1/8 turn. I wouldn't reuse the bearings, unless you intend to the redo/replace the whole thing sooner down the road . I would if it was only temp. Remember to pack the bearings with wheel grease thoroughly.
