  1. Oh ok, from all the posts I read I couldn't tell .
  2. Well I guess I will reply first. Are you looking for a replacement or a Line 6 engine? I don't think there are very many of us on here that know a lot about mistu engines let alone have one for sale. The engine in a lazer is designed to mount laterally where a Zs are mounted longetuatally (sp). Might want to ask at the Wangan Midnight forums. edit: Actually I think I know someone selling a dodge stealth engine.
  3. I don't know if this will work, but there were/are(?) frame reinforcements for the 97(?) mustang convertibles. You can try to adpapt them or make you own version off of those. I saw them on HorsePower TV on SpikeTV a while back.
  4. I need to know what attaches to the yellow/white yellow/blue green/black green/white black/red green yellow X2 yellow/blue Any input would be helpful, but I already have the schematics(no help). edit:btw need them for guages (analog or digital)
  5. I think you answered you own question zeiss150. You said that the 350z and the G35 both had 289 hp. From where you got those numbers I think its rated gross(flywheel) HP. The G35 is AWD and looses some HP in the power distibution so I would be a little slower (faster off the line).
  6. Should I try to build my own when I have the chance? I' m going to try to build my own front end shell anyways because of shipping for a air dam cost so freakin much. (but will probably end up buying one, just want to try)
  7. I had the link a while ago but had to format my computer. It was a site that also listed CF version sof the same parts. I thin it was listed somewhere around $300-$400.
  8. Actually I know that they listed both from 75-78, but advertised the greater. Net and Gross hourse power. Not too sure about other years.
  9. Actually I like the rear on the 240sx better than the the one on a S30. The rear od the S30 just doesn't flow with the rest of the car. Just too many shapes and contours compaired to the rest of the car all centered around one area.
  10. I like it too. It looks better because its wider. The S30 is such a narrow car.
  11. Yes 240sx are cooler than hondas because its a nissan. lol. Anyways there wasn't an X on the first post it was just empty, only time I encountered that was with a proxy. The white one has the same hool its just painted black to give that illusion. thats actually a kit. I don't know if the still produce them. Heres a better shot.
  12. I thought they only made those kits for the 180sx. I guess the 240sx is becoming the new "hondas".lol
  13. "get out of work early enough" ? just call ahead. Just make sure they fix all that counts, anything that has to do with the allinement. edit: Just noticed thats a strange looking dizzy you have there, custom? how is it driven
  14. No link, no empty pic just Can you just post the link?
  15. I have those schematics. That one only shows wiring for lighting and switchs. I the one for tach, speedo, temp, and fuel guages. If someone can give the wires that goes the guages on the analog version, I think that will help too.
  16. Thats what I need. All the schematics I have do not really show what the wiring connected to the guages. I'm trying to put a digital instrument panel into my 77 280z. I have the know what the wire out is from DCZ (thanks by the way). The color wires that DCZ gave me are yellow/white yellow/blue green/black black green/white black/red red/blue green yellow yellow/blue yellow (not a type, 2 yellow connections) I figure Black is ground ,but can't be to sure. I actually have 2 digital dashes So I only been testing on one of them, and have tried to take a multimeter to it but with no real success. It turns on with black connected to (-) and (+) on either red/blue or green. From looking at some diagrams i figure that the red/blue is for the dimmer because it shows the same wire connected to all the bulbs. So that leaves us with. yellow/white yellow/blue green/black green yellow yellow/blue yellow (not a type, 2 yellow connections) green/white black/red red/blue I don't need to know the 77 280z side of wire just the 83 280zx side. Any help will be MUCH apreciated. Edit: Forgot to mention that I have been using a 6v source just in case to not short it out, and that when on all the bar meters (ie. tach, temp, and fuel) read full bars. When using a power 12v supply from my LCD sceen it give different readings (only tried this with the fuel guage portion).
  17. Well i suggest to measure measure measure. Measure from the firewal to the radiator support and measure fro the same point on the firewall to the strut towers.
  18. I agree with taking it to a shop, but its not going to be the same as it was before. My 2nd 280z I got had an accident, head on collision (slight damage to the bumper) and even though that was the case the front half of the frame was bended to one side slightly (about 3 inch). i don't agree with using filler on welds inless its for body work. Spend an extra few dollars and buy some weld seam sealer.
  19. Okay DCZ have you swap to analogs? Did you have to connect wires to different color wires or were they connected to the same colors? I have schematics but they tell me nothing about the dash wiring.
  20. He has a L24 engine. The electroplating theroy actually happend to my friends toyota when he was running platimun plugs (pieces of crap, pore conductor) I took out one of the plugs and there was a glob of metal on the center electrode and half of the ground electrode what missing (put 2 and 2 together), also happend one a couple of bike that I was doing maintainence on. MSD should of stated somewhere in the documentation on whether it had an internal ballast or a step down relay
  21. Oh okay thanx. I just saw picture and thought ooh don't need to read lol.
