I dont like those screw covers, doesn't pull off an authentic zg look imo. Mostly done here in America.

i wish i knew that before, I bought the ataras while i was unemployed lol. but i did end up ordering gnose headlight covers from yahoo jp (using easyauctionsjapan) and marugen shoukai flares from rhdjapan, so legit wats would have been icing on the cake for my build.. maybe later i will look into it once i get the car running.
Trying to mount the rear bumper on my 260z after compressing the shocks . Prior owner had it off. and I am missing the bracket that goes between the shock and the rear bumper, as pictured
I know i could fab one but it wouldn't be near as nice/sturdy as an original. Let me know, thanks,

welded diff on anything besides a drift car sucks imo. I hated it on my old rx7 (came with it), swapped it to a factory lsd.
But anyways, an obx helicol lsd might be something to look at.
i like chrome, but there are some cars that pull off the black look very nicely.
I bet a two part paint will do the trick.. if you have an air compressor, single stage black should last a bit longer.
Hey guys, I am following this post on the zx distributor upgrade to my early 260z

Was just a bit confused, do I need to add a constant positive feed from my battery to the coil? Or should it be from an ignition on switch and where could a source be located?
I have no problem adding a positive wire from my battery to the coil, but just wasn't sure if his diagram was correct. Thanks
My marugen shoukai flares came in today. Ordered through rhdjapan.com , just about $300. The wait wasn't that long too. Quality and fitment is top notch!
There are a few japanese coilovers that we just don't get stateside.. The market probably isn't there for them over here.

Fiberglass isn't too bad to work with. Generally it is easy to repair (once you learn of course).. drawbacks of urethane is it can flex/bend/fold under speed. Race cars run fiberglass since it generally doesn't flex/move. Ive always fiberglass body panels on my cars and never had issues unless its a daily driver, got to be more cautious.
Ok guys, I bought some bump steer spacers a while back without bolts.. Now Im going over my suspension and want to get them ready.. I figured i could just pick up some longer bolts but its been a mission to find the right grade bolts.
m12x1.25 is the size.pitch.
ANy idea what length? Im thinking 55mm or 60mm ? Also should be a class 10.9 or grade 8 correct? Im trying to find a place to buy them from online but can't find one. Tried local places and no one has anything better than class 8.8. Of course though the real hardware places are closed right now due to the new year.
ok i take it the end that connects to the chassis hard line is 10mm-1.0 female, and both the toyota and maxima calipers require 10mm-1.0 Male plus crush washer (besides originally using banjo fittings) ?
I should be good with Earl's speed flex lines since they offer 10mm-1.0 female/10mm-1 male lines, just gotta get the length right
Just trying to avoid the use of adapters, but i suppose those are fine too for the -3 an hoses
Edit: Im also thinking brake lines for the 240sx may also work.
Thanks for the replies.. Im trying to understand what Im looking at.. maybe its just late lol. But basically running -3 an fitting hoses, with associated adapters to fit into the caliper and hard line?
A friend suggested a local hose shop, i may see what they can do.
The silvermine hoses look decent.. a bit pricier than what i wanted to spend when buying 2 pairs, but i suppose there wont be any "homework" id need to do on my part.
Ok It didnt dawn upon me of what i had.. but i bought some generic SS lines for the stock brakes a few months back.. never got around to installing them.. since than, i purchased a s12w front brake swap (2nd hand, couldnt pass the deal) and pieced together the rear disc swap components.
Im trying to figure what brake lines to run with this new setup. Any suggestions? I see all the brake swap kits come with brake lines, but no single listing of just selling the lines themselves.. I suspect they could be ordered from another car?
