  1. even tho its a 280z chassis, the bodywork is representing 240z era.. so i think 240z wheels/hubcaps might have been more fitting, as well as no front spoiler just so it looks more "straight off the production line". or possibly shaved rear side markers, and fender mirrors, but that is just me. =)
  2. i havent put much thought into it as i havent got my early 260 running yet, but i did buy a 85 300zx alternator for it and the resistor that i need to add in. But i been thinking about ditching the mechanical and re-wiring an aftermarket fuel pump (that is, after i get her running, i should just try to get her started with the mechanical first , than fine tune from there). Good luck!
  3. The rkr/rb are fine tho from what ive seen, at least they are an original design of rota's. But im generally not a fan of rotas. They are kind of like the Fisher Price kid's entry-level aftermarket wheels lol
  4. those look great, finally led tail lights in a pattern that doesnt look bad
  5. These are pretty nice wheel. For anyone who wants an affordable authentic wheel of original design (classier than any rota/xxr/str etc) Wish they would have made them in a negative offset
  6. add more weight to the front (i.e. put the bumper back on), that should bring the nose down =) jk Are you running the staggered 15x9 15x10.5 ataras?
  7. Apparently google search with that part number pulls this up as well http://www.summitracing.com/parts/aaz-11-1837 Who is gonna be a guinea pig and order one? =) edit: just went back to orielly's page... says out of stock... dammm you guys are fast lurkers on here scooping them up lol
  8. Cool good luck, i hope you get it. Looking forward to your update this weekend, than i will order one lol Edit: just looked at their site, and looked up for nearest stores with it.. says a store 61 miles from me has it.. maybe they found a batch of them. Interesting.
  9. This thread made me pick these up Already cutting this crap out pretty fast! Woohooo! Hopefully I wont be lazy and will finish this up this weekend to paint.
  10. Are you guys re-sealing the seams?
  11. Seen that car on craigslist, nice. Sorry no idea on the fenders
  12. HF angle grinder good enough for those? Im also needing to strip my undercoating before i paint it, and tried my air compressor with an air die grinder /wire wheel, and my air compressor just can't keep up with it.
  13. Orange car on the left is running 15x8 -0 offset front and rear. Tires 205/50r15 front, 215/50r15 rear. Fitment looks great. You could also do a 225/45/r15 for the rear.
  14. run a thinner tire or not so aggressive offset (if you dont like the "stance kids") and you will be good..
  15. may be cheaper to get them straight from japan http://www.easyauctionjapan.com/productdetail.php?productId=b157498646
  16. Let me know what you guys got, thanks. Shipped to 92570
  17. good luck. I bought the complete set from someone, with the rotors, spacers, hub and s12w calipers. Couldn't really pass it up for the price I got them for. =)
  18. Let me know if you got something you want to sell. Thinking about going the vented 4x4 caliper upgrade route . Thanks
  19. I may go with chassis saver satin black, than top that with a undercoat rubberized spray.
  20. Sounds good. I actually scuffed up, wiped down and sprayed rustoleum 7777 (thinned with mineral spirits or paint thinner, i forgot) onto my rx7, which than sat for afew years til i gave it away. But i was even happy with that. Of course tho, that rx7 isn't notorious for rust, so i cant say how good it would be on a Z https://scontent-b-lax.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash2/t1.0-9/q74/s720x720/944303_10151847483753557_402055772_n.jpg
  21. Been planing to hit the inner fender wells and underside with a wire brush and coat them with something like rust encapsulator /por15/ chassis saver etc. My car is pretty solid/clean besides the typical surface rust. Suggestions welcomed on which product/route to go with. Ive read people suggest going to bare metal and coating with epoxy primer, than top coat of paint, but i think right now I like the easy route of just brushing on something like the rust preventative paints. Ive read por15 has a prep process that has to be done in order for it to hold up. I would love to put on some sound dampening coating as well, so eastwood's rubberized rust encapsulator looks good. But again, suggestions welcomed. I know this is probably an age-old debate, but there are just soo many products/methods to use now. I am planing to keep the engine bay the original color for now.
