  1. My addons should be here tomorrow. Will post my opinion on it . Obviously my car isnt ready to drive yet, but i will be slapping on baddog frame rails in addition, I think it would be a good addition, if anything, some nice underhood bling.
  2. Thanks, as long as you can post when you get the parts that the triangular rods and mounting hardware are infact longer, i dont see why it wouldnt work. Just waiting to put in an order with T3 on some of their stuff =)
  3. For the front, all you need is camber plates. https://technotoytuning.com/nissan/260z/240z-260z-and-280z-cut-and-bolt-camber-plates These might work. For the rear, you can drill 2 holes into the strut tower and bolt them directly.
  4. I haven't seen many good american-made fiberglass products that are perfect fitting. I sold a set of jdmflares.com flares, didn't like the quality. Copy of a copy of a copy gets lost in fitment issues. I highly recommened the marugen shoukai flares through rhdjapan. They aren't super wide, but they are accurate to original ZG flares and the fitment can't be beat. Alot of the stateside flares loose the "flange lip" area as scene in my picture, generally requiring people to run fender welting to fill it in.. Sure its just a small detail, but i think small details go a long way in overall appearance of the car.
  5. cool thanks for the replies! Awaiting your success before I order. =) I got their tension rods and tie rod ends on my Z, very nice stuff for sure. I like that they listen to customers and consider them for parts.
  6. T3 says it will bolt to my cusco bar, but didn't specify what would be needed to do so. My concern was that the bars might not be long enough to reach the cusco bar. Dreco do you think it would work?
  7. on a facebook reply, T3 said they had it mate to a cusco bar. I may consider ordering it if it can fit.
  8. The rivnuts saved the day I will throw some 3m tape on there when i paint the car, it shouldn't go anywhere after that.
  9. I dont know which bracket you have. I got the maxima bracket on mine running the maxima calipers, with z31 rear brake rotor.
  10. I got this tall bre style spoiler from retro-spec. This is the 2nd one they sent me. First one was poor fitting. So i took that back to them and waited months to get this one. Fitment is better, but they forgot something.. hmmm.. Mounting holes! I was looking forward to mounting this, but obviously cant. I was thinking maybe some rivnuts into the fiberglass, but not sure how those would hold up. What do you guys think?
  11. All it takes is one dope demo car. Look at all the JDM demo cars, probably wouldn't look as good with bad wheels and fitment, but once you slap some better wheels on it, it may look good. Im not a fan of the black eye look or widend steelies but set it off on some modern wheels would look decent.
  12. I wont discredit them, i just think they could be incorrect,
  13. Something always bugged me, was how everyone uses that LHD diagram to mount their mirrors.. To me, after looking at a million jdm s30 pictures, just looks wrong. (They were too forward/inward). Some guy claims that is his measurements from his jdm fairlady, and everyone believes it, than reverses it for LHD. The above portion, is the commonly referred to measurements for LHD cars. The bottom portion, i recall finding on a japanese website, i think minkara.carview.co.jp I questioned this, exchanged a message to Shoji Inoue via facebook (of Star Road Japan) and he sent me these pictures off their cars He also stated that they are the same left and right. I believe these to be very creditable as his cars are of very high quality (and him being in Japan, homeland advantage). I decided to mount my mirrors with a mix of in-between of the minkara.carview diagram and Shoji's measurements as they are very similar to the diagram. I have yet to drive my car as it is currently not running, but i am confident in those measurements.
  14. Don't expect the dealer to have an answer on a product that no one knows about nor is supported by them. You can change springs on anything aftermarket but why even go with them if you are gonna want to change components in the kit.
  15. No one here was able to help him out? Anyways , i would suggest going straight to the source since you are in socal (since they are in City of Industry), see if you can arrange a pick up. that gives you a chance to interact with them directly. If any issues with the hood come up, you shhould be able to contact them easily.
  16. I found this one online, what do you guys think? It looks like alot of the mounting area has been trimmed off
  17. as long as you dont cheap out on aftermarket parts, and do it tasteful, it can hold its value. I am a big fan of japanese Zs.
  18. http://images.craigslist.org/00000_iIdcN3E1MVd_600x450.jpg thats from the craigslist post So i should be ok bringing a cut off wheel to start a slot, than run the sawzaw in there around the diameter of the well outside of the spot welds. That way way i can take my time and clean up the rest of it when i get home?
  19. would angle grinder with cut off wheel do it? or sawzaw? someone else mentioned to me to just drill out the spot welds and pry it out. I figure i will be more precise to my car, but since their car is getting parted/cut up, it wont matter what i do to theirs. Would just hate to spend hours at their place trying to get it out, so i want to go prepared
  20. ok guys, my spare tire well is pretty bad, rusted, and prior owner fiberglassed it.. I want to replace it. I found someone on craigslist locally who is parting out. I just need to remove it from their car. Any suggestions? drill the spot welds?
  21. marugen shoukai http://www.rhdjapan.com/marugen-shoukai-wide-over-fenders-zg-wide-type-nissan-s30-s31.html I paid just under $300 for them shipped to my place. By far the best out there.
  22. thanks, but 280z has a different one, shallow i believe.
  23. get some better quality flares and you should be good. It just looks odd because of the flares you are running. They are missing alot of the flange area (that i see alot of american-made flares are missing) and also possibly trimmed/cut shorter due to being copies of copies of copies etc. I recommend spending the cash towards marugen shoukai zg flares straight from japan.. I can seriously eyeball a car with good japanese flares, and american-made flares (its like a night and day difference if you really pay attention to detail lol).
