Looking good . Any photos of the build ? I recently purchased a wrecked 02 Z28 . Debating to which car , 91 ZX or 78 Z , gets the V8 swap . I did this swap on my 83 ZX 2 yrs. ago .
They do smog test on 82 model in NV , wow . I'm glad i live TX , safety only on 25yrs or older . The car looks clean , good find . Hope you got a good deal . Wondered if Gredy still have cat-back for it . Fact. pipe is 3" or larger , i think .
Here's mine , unpainted . Is yours matte or satin black ? Got satin black for mine . Hopefully , get the painted before winter . LOL

I don't see how the engine can run for that length of time without the fuel pump running . When problem occurs again , pull the vac. hose off your fuel press. reg. to see if any fuel comes out . It's poss. you might have interm. problem with a leaky reg. . Good luck .
Did this problem start after you installed the HID lights ? Trying to pin point your problem , I would rec installing the OE lights to see if that fix it .
The green should be 12v. when the fuel pump is running and the black wire should be the ground signal from the ECM side ( pin 108 ) . Check to make sure there is no power to the green wire when key is in off position . Check the black wire to make sure it is not shorted to ground by disconnecting both connectors ( air reg. and ECM ) and check for continuity to ground . Good luck .

The Z28 is an automatic car . I figured the auto trans. is larger than the standard . Would like to know where and how much of an enlargement to the trans. tunnel is required . photos would be nice . Thanks .
