    350z?

check this one out. Its a friend of mine and he is really itching to sell it, and a little closer in Alabama. http://www.g35frenzy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3116
  6. If I'm understanding this right, if its a crankshaft bearing, they can also add material to the crankshaft and then machine it down to size. I once bought a 240z from a lady who was selling it for her son who was out of town. All the told me was it didn't run. It did run though, for 5 minutes, then the motor siezed. 1 cylinder had the bearings put in backwards and got no oil. How they knew that, I don't know, but it really messed up the crank, con-rod and piston. The machine shop repaired the crank for me with the same size bearings. Only cost $20 too! (but they screwed up, they meant to quote me $200)
  7. seems a little overkill for such a light car. Sure they will look good, but thats a lot of unsprung weight! I've always thought the Track 350Z's rays wheels and brembos would look sweet on a 240 though, even if they are 18" wheels. Maybe some 17" TE-37s which look like them though, instead.
  8. without an exact measurement, I would still think they would. My 15" rewinds have at least an inch clearance to the wheel in that dimension, and since the radius on a 14 is only 1/2" smaller, they should.
  9. get the owners name from the public records, like AG said, and then just ask the new owners to give it to you. They will probably be thankful they don't have to haul it off.
  10. While I don't think you meant that you were going to leave it bottoming out for a few years, just leaving the engine stock, I would agree with trouble. Just put some cheap struts in now and tackle it later. If you want to do it now, you could go with coilovers, and then tune it for the v-8 once installed. New springs for coilovers are cheap and you can adjust the ride height too.

the '03 ride was bouncy on the Z, they did revise the suspension for '04 though, and I haven't seen many complaints. I had switched my shocks/springs/sways myself. If you want a nice ride and are going to import something, how about a G35 coupe. The longer wheelbase and different suspension tuning gives it a better ride. You don't see those in europe, and they are roughly the same price as a touring Z, but you get more for the money, and if you want to mod it, just about everything they make for the Z works on it also. If you don't want to import, go for the BMW. Thats an awesome deal and a great car.

about 5500 plus a new hood. I got mine used for 4000. Vortech is the way to go though if you want high power. I wanted the lowend torque. Vortech's are putting about 420 to the wheels with headers, hiflow cats and exhaust.

I had a larger intake plenum, cai, cat back, hollow cats and a computer reflash and went from 245 rwhp stock to 257. My results were typical. I then put a stillen supercharger with 7psi boost and went to 340 rwhp.
  14. there doesn't look like a lot of space between the back of the spokes and the pad, but at worst, you would need a 1/4" spacer.
  15. and I'm 99.9% sure they are M10x1.0 in size. Your best bet to confirm that is go to your local hardware store and buy a bolt in that size, and ensure that it is the correct thread for the caliper. I powdercoat calipers for a side living, and I'm certain that is the size bolt I use to plug the holes.

yea, you can do better aftermarket, but aside from hardcore hpde racers, who is really gonna spend that kind of money when the stock one is good enough for 8/10ths driving on the street.
  17. measure the hard line and the flex line and add them together, thats the length you want. But, why do you want to get rid of the hard line? I got russell lines from autozone, around $90 for all 4 that I used for my s12w/280zx 4 wheel conversion and they worked fine. Banjo fittings are where the hose ends in an "O" shape and a bolt with holes in it goes through the banjo and into the caliper. Not what we have. We have metric threaded ends, which might be a problem for your manufacturer.

nah, the enthusiast. Its just a couple dollars more and adds LSD.

    350z?

I had one that I recently traded for a C6. It was a great car, but if you are into modifying your new car, unless you go forced induction, bolt ons really don't do much for performance. Yeah, the STI or EVO outperform it for the same $$$, but they are 4 door sedans. Not my cup of tea. If you buy the right trim level, the Z is a performance bargain. 300hp for under $30! If you were to get a Z, get the enthusiast model. Its got everything of the higher track and touring models except brembos and spoiler (track), leather and bose (touring) and the bose sucks anyway.
  20. aluminum would be ok without painting it, but the steel parts definitely need to be painted after sandblasting or they will rust.
  21. for a control panel I had been thinking of a 73 center console with the lighted vent controls removed and putting one in that spot.
