  1. this is what is great about this site. Unlike others, people don't knock your ideas, even when they are not what they would do themselves!
  2. I'd rather spend a couple extra bucks and go with modern motorsports myself, if I was going coilover. At least he supports the forum.
  3. or why pilots love drifting!
  4. Although these planes are landing at their maximum crosswind in the worst possible way, its not how I try to do it! (<- prof. airline pilot) http://www.metacafe.com/watch/39256/crosswinds/
  5. Top Thrill Dragster! http://www.metacafe.com/watch/38679/video/?rd=7f2284c2c23711a6a8f000ad6f4b3130bbece48b43697e25
  6. much nicer. The guy on the other forum usually does better work, but maybe the sky blue I provided him with was bad. Anyway, noone on here ever volunteers photoshopping, so I figured I would import one!. Nice work gollum!
  7. I asked someone on the 350z forum to photoshop my car light blue. Its still kindof green, but should give you an idea.
  8. its looking great, and an awesome tribute to your father!
  9. Bet its gonna be pricey though! http://www.mallettcars.com/solstice-conversion.htm
  10. Dang, I was flying international up until august. will be again in about 6 months, and used to fly to london a couple times a month. I would have loved to contact her and ask to inspect it myself in person!
  11. yes, use the file, save as option and save it as html. It will save the page and also create a directory associated with that page that will have all the pictures, etc.
  12. what kind of oven setup do you have?
  13. try going into a body shop, explain what you are doing and ask them where they buy their paint from.
  14. No, the front (and rear) right strut tubes were bent. I think the donor car had been in an accident or something, but the po gave them to me with the car, so I don't know how it happened. Prox, I started off with 5 all around and the front was way too tight, understeering in every corner. My instructor said I wasn't hitting the apexes, so I let him drive and he saw what I meant. Having years of experience racing 240z's, he helped me dial it in. Since then, I have added a rear strut brace, we'll see how that does at Rockingham next weekend!
  15. they came off a 280, and to work right, required the sectioned 280 front strut tubes, but one was bent. anyway, I went with the tokico in the rear and eibachs front. It behaved beautifully on the track with the illuminas at 3 front and 5 rear and 32psi front and 34 rear.
  16. looks beautiful Austin! And yes, stripping pc is a bitch! I'm redoing a set of 300zx brakes that I didn't pack well enough before shipping, and its been 3 days already and still not quite finished stripping them. kleen strip professional sprayable stripper from home depot seems to work the best at initially softening it up.
  17. biggest 350z forum is www.my350z.com Just scan the classifieds. I found a local guy selling his after he put race seats in. (But he is one of those F&F show car types. He is actually putting a 'NAWS' bottle in, but not hooking it up to anything!!!!, Just for looks)
  18. The whole Z club calls it the pickle, the po and his club called it the snot rocket, but mostly, I call it the Datsun
  19. yea, its the same, the FM (front midship) platform, sedan, coupe, 350z and fx. soon to add the gtr to the mix. there are a couple awd z's running around. I believe one was built for pikes peak.
  20. Actually, the G35 sedan came before the Z, so the Z is a redone G35. Mechanically they are the same. I owned both a G35c and 350z.
