  1. that was the 1999 concept. Its not gonna happen.
  2. Don't know, but Nissan lent him a 350Z when they were first coming out for him to drive for a couple weeks. One of the 350z guys worked for him at the time, and said Leno really liked the car. Another interesting Leno fact he shared with us, Jay has never sold a car. Still has every one he ever bought!
  3. yeah, sometimes it can take weeks for fake cashiers checks to bounce. Another option is to have him wire the money directly into your bank account. If you have a credit union or another free way to open a new account, do so and use it for this transaction only, then close it, since he will have to have your routing and account numbers to wire the money.
  4. Assuming the hole is the right size and they are just crooked, you are better off getting a small stack of washers and a lugnut and attaching from the front by pulling the lug into the hole. An impact wrench works best, but you could do it with a regular one too.
  5. welcome! Is that dash in as good shape as it looks? Also, since you know fords, why not a ford V-8?
  6. He is in our prayers. Thank you and your son for his service.
  7. and the JCR online catalog is still showing that kit as available. I wonder if it really is.
  8. I remember reading about that car in autoweek when they made it several years ago. Jay Leno has one of them, but then again, what car doesn't he have?
  9. Beautiful! Does that Tiger Drylac chrome need a clear over it? Eastwood has a single stage chrome now that looks pretty good too.
  10. I like it! Wish I had something that needed an intercooler
  11. Which is why, when the hood latch broke on my previous 240, I couldn't drive it. Over 20mph and the hood was pulled open! DAW, what year biturbo do you have? I had an 85 E coupe!
  12. After a few stumbles along the way, I finally completed my front and rear disc conversion, lowered it, installed illumina struts, konig wheels, 1" spacers and zg flares. After several configurations, I have settled on eibach front springs and tokico 280 rears. We'll see how it works out on the track this weekend, but I can't use the front tokico springs because they were for a 280 with shortened strut tubes, one of which was bent. They were shortened to the same length as the stock 240 tubes, but the spring perch was 1" lower. I didn't like the eibachs in the rear, because it sat too low, and the first 7 and a half coils were stacked on each other with the car on the ground. I also put on the MSA version 3 bumper, and had to trim the flares a little to make them work. I attached the flares with 3m trim tape and screws afterward.

  14. turns out it was a stuck parking brake. I've got 280zx rear discs and when I pulled the caliper and let it hang, it adjusted the parking brake a little. I'm still not real familiar with the inner workings of them, but eddie radatz talked me through it on the phone. Also replaced the rear eibachs with tokico springs, so the back is a little higher now.
