  1. Except from the getgo, Carlos Gohsn has said the car is being designed for the US market. Its left hand drive, and is coming out, they've been seen testing on the nurburgring. (In a G35 body). Yes the G35 is the skyline in japan, but the new GTR will not be a skyline, simply GTR. Whether its infiniti or nissan remains to be seen, but Im guessing Infiniti
  2. I just bought the 40lb unit from them. On sale for 84.99 plus a 20% off coupon. Containment: I use it on a sheet in the yard and then recycle the sand with a kitchen strainer and funnel it back in. Lose about 25-30% of the sand each cycle, as it blows off the sheet. Quality: The moisture seperator broke the 1st day when I tried to open it to drain the water, and the shutoff valve at the discharge end of the hose stopped working about 5 minutes into use. The internal parts are made of plastic and just chipped away with the sand coming out. I bought a replacement valve from home depot and it failed quickly too. I wound up buying a deadman type nozzle from harbor and its working well now.
  3. yea, most of the new car modifiers are what I call 'checkbook tuners' which are really 'credit card tuners' in most cases. I change the oil myself, even on my wife's Dodge Magnum, and our Dodge dealer offers free oil changes. For me, the time to do it myself is quicker than taking it somewhere and waiting for them to screw the job up.
  4. but the tubes on the 240 are about .2" more narrow than on the 280. The struts themselves are the same diameter though.
  5. so the pics of the car on the official website are not the real car? Anyway, even on the G35/350z boards, people aren't really warm to it.
  6. I also buy my music from here: http://www.mp3search.ru/ 10 cents/song
  7. I've got the ipod nano and love it! My wife has a mini. If you were leaning towards the mini, you would want to get that soon, as apple is no longer advertising it on their website.
  8. Those guys are a bunch of real enthusiasts at Performance Nissan. I did a lot of business with them in my 350z days. Didn't realize they had branched to the earlier stuff too! I highly recommend them!
  9. That is probably the case, as I have illuminas and springs that I know came from a 280z on my 240. The springs barely lowered the car at all, and I had to cut some of the spacer to make them fit my 240 housings. Originally, I was going to use the 280 strut tubes all around (fronts were cut down to 240 height), but the left side ones were bent. I guess the PO got them from a wrecked car. Anyway, to put the rear 280 illuminas in a 240 strut tube, I had to cut exactly 1 roll of duct tape width off of the spacer.
  10. At our last Z club meeting, a guy showed up in a late 70s/early 80's (I'm guessing) MB 300sel with an LS1 in it, and it was pretty awesome. The car looked like it just came off the showroom floor. I was looking for pictures, because I'm not totally familiar with Mercedes, but it was a 2 door, not a 4 door.
  11. damn, that really sucks man. I feel for you. I would keep an eye on ebay.
  12. Nothing does, they work just fine. However, TireRack has 225/45-17 Hoosiers on sale for $35 each right now, and at that price its worth buying a set of 17" wheels to go along with them. edit: well, they had them earlier today, sold out now
  13. are 225/45-17 too large for the 240Z? I'm running 205/50-15s now, which are pretty short.
  14. my last 240 had the full face cover from MSA, current one has the 1/2 cover (the way I bought it). Both fit well, but the full cover was much better, and properly installed, you wouldn't know it was a cover unless you looked very closely. Easy to install.
  15. best way to find out is ebay!
  16. congrats, that is awesome! I am currently trying to figure out a business model for a powdercoating business. I've been doing it on the side for the last 8 months, and want to expand to dedicated facilities and actively solicit business. I'm all referral now.
  17. to adjust the rear parking brake, using a screwdriver, rotate the caliper piston 90 degrees clockwise. Make sure the hash marks on the piston are centered up and down, left and right, so the nipple on the pad will rest in the top one.
  18. on the serious side, a good drift setup is the same as a good road race setup.
