  2. I wont quit the club I've been a member for 8 years.Actually, I write a column for the newsletter. its just an acceptance curve, just like when the Z31 and Z32 came out.
  3. my prayers are with you, sorry to hear the news.
  4. I don't know what NC is, but 87a is energized when the power source is not present.
  5. well my latest Z is the 73, which I got a month ago. The 350 was my 5th Z, the latest Z is my 6th. Actually, the experience most of us 350Z owners have had is that the older Z owners don't accept us as true Z owners. I know of at least 4 people who have not renewed membership in the Georgia Z club due to the attitudes of early generation Z owners. That is changing now though, as the 350 gets more established.
  6. I beg to differ with the 350z remark. Most of us true enthusiasts, and all of the 350/G35 guys I hang with appreciate all Z's.
  7. unfortunately, the only spacer/adapter available is 2" or 55mm.
  8. I've got a set of 350Z wheels, that are 8" wide +30 offset. If I get 2" spacer/lug pattern converters, it would take them down to a -24 offset. That would give 11 more mm clearance inside to the strut housing, but move the outside face of the rim out 37mm, almost an inch and a half, compared to 7" +0 wheels. Would that be too far out with a lowered 240?
  9. the internal setup sounds like the type on the 350Z. there is actually a drum brake inside the rotor hat that is the parking brake.
  10. If you can wait 2 weeks til I finish my brake system (front toyo, rear 280zx calipers, I can send you a drum for the price of postage.
  11. I am not selling this, just passing info along. longblock for sale on http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=130204 here is the post: Long Block for Sale Changing directions w/ one of the projects. This long block is currently disassembled but will be assembled and ready to drop in for the buyer. The reason I'm posting this up now is that the engine can go back together a couple of different ways. So I'm giving the buyer a chance to spec out which parts they want. Parts that do not get put into the motor will be sold seperatly @ a later date. Here are the options. The engine can be put back together completely stock or w/ any or all of the following parts. -Nismo RZZ 46cc heads w/ Ti valves -Ross 10:1 custom pistons for RZZ heads. Pistons designed for >1400hp applications. On stock heads these pistons ~8.9:1CR. -Cams: I have blanks so anything is possible, or JWT cams -Carillo H-Beam Rods -ARP Studs top and bottom PM me w/ your configuration and I'll send pricing. Motor will be ready to ship in 2-4 weeks. __________________
  12. I called friday. the guy at x206 told me Ernie was out all week. I guess I'm just impatient.
  13. While I may never have a different engine in mine, this place is definitely the best for early cars. On some sites, if you want to swap shocks or even wheels, people have an attitude.
  14. one other guess here. Did you put the calipers on the correct sides? bleed valve on top? I speak from experience.
  15. I just took my rear hubs to our club's first gen specialist to have them disassembled for me, and he told me the spindle pins are still available directly from your local nissan dealer. They have to order them too, but if you get a club discount they will be cheaper than mail order, and in either case, faster.
  16. Hey, that was the best in show winner!!!
  17. Got a call back from MSA today. They do 4 grills out of every roll like mine, as its the leftover scrap at the end of the roll. They refunded my money for the grill portion.
  18. thats the problem. They put the grill on, and it looks stupid like it is, plus, it won't match the way my upper grill is.
  19. what is the latest anyone has heard? I sent Ernie my info on the 15th, and asked about status on the 20th and still haven't gotten any replies from him.
  20. img src=http://www.desopolis.com/zpics/new.jpg img src=http://www.desopolis.com/zpics/new-1.jpg these show the orientation of my grill
  21. thanks. How many posts do I need until I can include attachments? The grill is attached via big 'staples' secured with bondo, so I have to do a little work to remove it. I got some similar grill material to cover the upper grill with at home depot yesterday, but its not wide enough to orient the same way. I guess I will be taking the one it came with off and redoing it.
