  1. Congrats Juan!! It has been a long time coming!! Do I see an SEZ trip in the near future? mike
  2. My bad, I wrote that out pretty quick and got my verbage incorrect... corrected...
  3. Make sure you have the block sonic tested to verify that there is enough meat to do the 89mm bore safely. When I built mine years ago, my first block cracked in the #6 cylinder wall into the water jacket. I had 3 other blocks tested before I found one that could handle the overbore. These 25+ year old iron blocks rust in the water passages, as they haven't been taken care of. Good luck with your build, mike
  4. Just make sure we have good track prep this time... let the games begin!!
  5. FEAR THE ZEBRA!!! Looking forward to seeing you guys run again!
  6. Yepper, a lttle over 700 +a 100 shot out of the hole, and the R200 is holding fine...so far
  7. Waaaaaa!!! It pains me to see that...the car was a great driver for me for many years. I was glad to hear that you were OK. Good luck with the next one and if I find any others, I'll let you know. Regards, mike
  8. Props for James!! http://www.speedshopthagard.com
  9. LOL!! I am just trying to keep up with you big boys I hope to get a chance to work on the car in a few weeks, in order to get it ready for SEZ. I am unfortunately away from it right now. I was hired by Pinnacle Airlines as a First Officer and am in training for the next 7-8 weeks. It is going to be cutting it close for SEZ, but I will do everything I can to be ready. Current state of the car is... I installed 1600cc (150lb) injectors (repacing the 1000cc or 96 lb injectors I was running) and a 5-bar MAP sensor (allowing me to run 30+ psi of boost). I did not have an opportunity to get any tuning time, so I have to completely re-do my fuel table for the new sensor and injectors to get back to where I was...(hopefully 2 track sessions will take care of that). Then I have to tune for the nitrous as well, so I can run it the length of the track and not just the first 60' or so, to try to keep up with you guys!! Fun stuff as always, mike
  10. Looking good Rick!! You are a madman!!
  11. Scottie, the JDM 2JZ injectors are side feed and won't do these guys much good. Your best bet may be to try and pawn them off on Ebay with the fuel rail ... OH, and they are 440cc.... USDM are 550cc
  12. Good luck with the swap and welcome!!
  13. Draglites won't without a spacer. For my track wheels, I have a 1" spacer on the front, and run an old 16" HRE on the rear. The problem wasn't the diameter of the wheel, there just isn't any space for the caliper to sit, as the rear face of the wheel is flush and the caliper protrudes slightly past the rotor..

    Big SU's?

A local old race team also bored the SU's, and used the Jag butterflies in them to give the large diameter... .
  15. Post up some pics!! I'd love to see the mounts
  16. Sure, with dual overhead cam cross flow designs...
  17. When I selected the cam I chose to run, I contacted Ron at ISKY cams and explained the engine setup (turbocharged stock longblock with bolt-ons), the turbo I was using (T-66 p-trim with a .58 a/r turbing housing), the RPM band I was looking for (where I had full boost of 20 psi at roughly 4400 rpm's), where I was intending to rev the motor to (7000 ish rpm's), and that I wanted the power band of the cam to match the power band of the turbo (4400+ rpm's). I knew I wanted 114* lobe centers and a staggered intake/exhaust duration with a longer duration on the intake than the exhaust, to speed up the exhaust flow out of the engine to help aid in turbo spool (atleast that was my theory behind staggering the intake and exhaust lift/duration). I am certainly not advocating the cam I chose to everyone, as a turbo motor's power band is somewhat dictated by turbo size and exhaust a/r. I don't think that a stock size turbo would have benefitted from my cam choice, but the large frame turbo certainly did. just my .02 mike
  18. If you get 2 of the R200 front diff seals, you can remove the outer rubber coating (otherwise they are too wide), and they will work as your dust shield. I had to "massage" them in place, but they worked just fine with the 280zx companion flanges. It is what i used a while ago on my 77 280zt when I had a funky VLSD setup with AMC Eagle CV shafts.
