  1. Thanks for the vg link, just bought mine
  2. If you are smelling it, others probably are as well. Perhaps, let them know the the scent is very strong and that they should consider keeping the window closed.
  3. Awesome Jon!! Congrats to you and your team for the win!!
  4. Nice find!! Npw I just have to convince you to come down and tow me around
  5. Car looks great in the pics and I look forward to seeing it next spring!!
  6. I believe James Thagard's tt/nitrous L28 may hold that distinction (even though he sold it), atleast until Tim's car does the 1320. As for the fastest street driven Z, surely there are guys out there faster than me. I believe there is a guy with the screenname Whiteboy on some street racing boards down in Texas that has a nasty fast V8 z, but he's a hardcore $ racer, so his times are not public.
  7. I have been driving my Z all over the place, and I get many curious people that ask what I have under the hood, but not one has challenged me, revved at me, or anything like that. Maybe it is the fuel cell sticking out from under the rear valance, or perhaps the 4" exhaust pipe... who knows. I can't say that I would indulge them anyway.
  8. WOW Tim!!! That is simply amazing!! Big turbo = GOOD!!
  9. I echo all in saying "thanks for taking the time to do this testing!!" It has been a very intereesting read... Incidentally, to what MPH were the tests in the wind tunnel made? Vortex Generator may be in my future, and I know headlight cover are The more slippery I can make this car from 120-150+ mph, the quicker it will go. Hmmm, perhaps I'll try some strictly aero mods and see what they yield at the same power levels... regards, Mike
  10. Wow, good luck on the show. I wish you all the best of luck!!
  11. Good deal Tom, it's about time you got the new head on!! That 40+ hp/tq should make your track time a little more enjoyable
  12. Yes, you'll need a mid sump setup.
  13. Welcome back ScottyMiz!! Good luck with the new build. Regards, Mike
  14. Excellent Hanns!! I am very happy you gave been able to get the car back up and running. I expect to see some new numbers in the near future as well
  15. Mosier may be able to cut down your existing axle shafts and respline them...
  16. I ran the 18-circuit universal harness in my car as well. I just did not trust all the old wiring. It does take some time, and one of these days, I'll wire in the wipers too!!
  17. You can put your hand onto the turbo blanket right after a drag strip pass in my car. I picked mine up second hand on the Supra boards a couple of years ago for around $100. Titan Motorsports sells them as well. Regards, Mike
  18. I beg to differ, as my 240 tracks straight as an arrow at speed on the dragstrip. That was both when I ran radials at the track and now with the bias plys. I have experienced a wider tire up front (245+) grabbing the ruts in the road and giving a bit of a twitch from side to side.
  19. Great news Hanns!! Glad to hear you'll be back together soon... mike
  20. Nice read... Hence the power gains and required increase of fuel to my VE table when I went to the 4" exhaust from the 3" exhaust...
