  1. Awesome JT!! One of these days I'll get my turd on the dyno as well... Mike
  2. Here ya go Garrett....you are getting some luv on the 350z board. http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=222389
  3. Awesome Garrett!! I guess the new turbo is working out for you. Now, get your butt back to the track and see if gets you where you want to be. Mike
  4. If you have to get CV adaptors anyway, get the ones for the 84-89 300zx turbo CV's. The 300zxt CV's are stronger than the 280zx CV's. Regards, mike
  5. Welcome, sounds like your knowledge will be a welcome addition to the board and good luck with your swap
  6. Nice to see some progress Stony, It's been what... 2 years or so since you have been able to drive it? You are a patient man...
  7. Welcome back Arif, good to see you are still around Mike
  8. Sweet Andy. I bet it sounds badass inside. When should break-in be complete?
  9. SDs is a nice, reliable system for the price. If you are unfamiliar with programmable EFI, I definately recommend SDS. It was the first system that I used and was pretty easy to understand for the beginner after a little reading of the manual and changing of the values. I would also recommend doing any major tuning with a wideband and not just a narrow band air/fuel meter. If you order direct from SDS, they will have a base map programmed into the unit to get your car started, then after that it is up to you.
  10. I've been lurking on this thread as well, waiting for the outcome. I too was under the same belief that the MKIV TT never came with a 5-speed. Thanks for the confirmation. BTW, do you guys think that the R154 would last behind a 700+rwhp 2JZ, or would the only option be the V160... just thinking about options down the road, should I decide to go back to slamming gears in the Zupra
  11. I had to raise mine for the exact same reason... I ended up cutting the crap out of mine and have to have those areas re-attached, but I also used the 280z strut insulators and doubled up the 1/2 inch rubber spacers inside the insulators to get a little more clearance. I still had to cut the crap out of my fenders
  12. It may be the turbo oil seals, but I would probably say valve stem seals. If it is an older motor, under vacuum conditions, oil can seep around aged or cracked valve stem seals and lead to your symptoms. Regards, Mike
  13. Sounds kinda silly, but check your crankshaft pulley bolt as well and make sure it is tight. I had a similar problem with my carbed L28 and it was the crankshaft bolt backing out...
  14. Hmmm if I wasn't doing a 2.93 R230, I would consider it. I am currently running a 3.36 R200 LSD and would expect to get 800-1000 for it when I am ready to sell. A 3.15 R200 would be good for someone without an overdrive (like me)
  15. You are no slug Scottie !! Your RX7 is one of the cleanest swaps I have seen and is a super sleeper. Noone expects to see it run what it runs. Hopefully, you'll be able to get some passes this time though. I kind of miss the "stomping a mudhole" line this SEZ. No one has thrown it out yet LOL!!
  16. LOL...it's all in fun We have gotta have a little hype generated for the event. Hopefully there will be a group of really fast cars to put on a good show for the guys still working on getting their cars together. I hope I don't break either. I figure I am going to find the next weakest link this weekend. I'll try to resist the urge to really run it hard until the weekend, so if it breaks, I'll atleast get to make a few passes at SEZ first. Tomorrow is to test the new tires, work on my launch and see how the car feels on the non-radial tires at speed. I am running the bias ply 26x11.5x16 ET Streets now and MT skinnies up front. I haven't had a chance to test them but hopefully will get to tomorrow (as long as the weather cooperates). As far as you guys go, I am looking forward to your match race with Rip. It should be AWESOME!! Your car is uber impressive and I'm just gonna try to keep up in my little 3 liter 6 cylinder
  17. Nice vid, thanks for sharing !!
