  1. I feel for you. We moved out of a place with a community pool. The pool used to be 24 hrs untill kids where partying till the wee hours and did not live in the community. I worked late and would swim laps when I got home at 10:00 P.M. Not that late. I would get kicked out for making no noise at all by the old farts that lived near there. I guess they could not sleep with me swimming in the pool because it disturbed their enjoyment of Leno. I know the argument has been made that HOA's are a good thing to keep property values up, but I hate big brother watching me. Jimbo
  2. Call jim williams at 602-309-4490. He has been a datsun mechanic for many a years with several custom builds to his credit and a cover on kit car magazine. Great guy. He is by the airport. jimbo
  3. clifton said it was a hand full at over 400 hp and much nicer to drive where he left it. that was before the added rubber he added. i bet with more aero mods and getting the suspension set for the tracks in use, 450-500 would be more than plenty. i bet anything over than that is just dyno numbers and not used on the track. just my .02. jimbo
  4. My fiance and I bought a Cannon Rebel 12 MP SLR camera from Cosco for $800 just a few moths back. Came with a regular lens and a 150mm "Telephoto". That thing kicks ass and takes great pictures. She took a class to really learn how to use it and has come back with some amazing pictures. I find it easy to use as well since I just look at the screen and push a button. The action setting is fun with our girls in gymnastics, we can get good pictures of their routines. Jimbo
  5. If you are talking about making a cobra front end on z, check out these pics. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/topic/58956-new-pics-of-my-cobra-z-coupe/page__p__539329__hl__coyotegary__fromsearch__1#entry539329 jimbo
  6. Thats 20 ga. Thats thin. I guess it would be ok if it was resting on the cell. I plan on 16 or 18 ga. when I do mine. You might put some stiffeners (5/8" angle?) on there if that is what you are going to run. Jimbo

yes and no. yes, our tech is way out there compared to other countries. However, during the space race, America pushed science, math and tech in schools. that is why we were 20 years ahead of the compitition (except for the space race which we should have won if the green light was given to JPL). Now we are still ahead but not as much because we push buisness instead of math and science. Priorities. Jimbo

From some of the history that I have read, they have had successful ejections at mach4+ . the whole cockpit comes out in a capsule to protect the pilots at high altitude and speeds. That must have been exciting. Jimbo
  9. Search in here. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/topic/55944-windtunnel-test-data/ Your answers are in there with the #'s of drag from each one and the amount of downforce. Jimbo fyi, i have a wing.
  10. it does not take long to get adjusted to moving your eyes over instead of your head. I guess my biggest beef is that mirrors are far enough away that the immage is small, not sure if that came out right. when the mirror is within reach, it is a large image to look at. the fenfer mirrors are farther away and thus smaller. I have them adjusted so that I do not have ANY blind spots but it would be nice to look closer if that car behind me has a light bar on it, if you catch my drift. jimbo
  11. Its not that bad once you get used to them. Adjusting them is not as easy as putting your hand out to push the mirror. But once they are set, I do not have a problem. Wife hates them, keeps her out of the drivers seat. jimbo
  12. ouch. That VIR crash hurts. here is another, brake line failed Jimbo
  13. ouch. that VIR crash hurts. here is another. braided brake line failed. Jimbo
  14. he is actually 23 years old. jimbo
  15. Here is the state of Arizona, jurors can ask questions. I'm not sure if that is the case anywhere else, but it was nice to be able to ask a couple of questions. JImbo
  16. Wow, some one has done some homework, maybe not their (school) homework. Nice finds. keep digging. jimbo
  17. I have always wanted to serve on a "interesting" trial. The $12 a day pretty much kills the ability to keep my house if that ever happens though. I was selected for one. Had an owner of a local bowling alley get in a "discussion" with one of his employees over his relationship with Sammy "The Bull" Gravano of the mafia. Owner got locked out of his alley and then shot the door lock out with his revolver. The bullet missed his employee by a few feet inside the alley. It was starting to get interesting when they plead out. Oh well. Cough Cough guilty cough. Jimbo
  18. Hiya Jim,

Hows that aero-Z comming along, I would love to see some more pics. You and I are using the same hood, I wanted to see how yours turned out.

  19. It wasn't the worst that we have seen here but it was ok. Reports of a tornado that night I think were greatly over rated. Microburst, maybe. Tornado, I doubt it. They tried to put semi rigs next to the tents to try to divert the wind. The tents fell and the poles went into or onto the cars. Barrett Jackson was ok though. Jimbo
  20. yep, I alos bought Ford Stock when it was less that $2.00 a share. Go Ford. Cant wait to see some new vids jimbo
  21. Ah. Must be the toyota & nissan salvage yard on the west side of 40th. You will probably pay 1.5 to 2 times the normal amount but they have most everything. jimbo
  22. OK, some one needs to send out some of that out. I love that stuff. jimbo
  23. Here is a in car vid a willow springs I would love to see chris in his fwd on the track at the same time with ernesto in his turbo stang. Both are near the 1000 whp. I do not think that one would get away from the other. Jimbo
  24. I call BS on that as well. The lap he set here in Phoenix beat everything except for the open wheels. There were zo6r's and other well prepped "rear wheel race cars" and he smoked them. Jimbo
  25. I took my family up in puff a few years back. $200 bought you a ride for 45 min. They had the guns still in and a few rows of seats. They actually left the rear door open with a cargo net over it. most of the ride I had my head through the net outside of the plane. That thing is cool. Here in Mesa is the commeorative air force that have the B-17 Sentamental jorney. That is a nother fun ride. http://www.arizonasilhouette.com/B-17G%20Sentimental%20Journey.htm jimbo
