  1. im too cheap to buy it, anyone want to post results
  2. "early 240 z " that about sums up everything you need to know when buying a car!!!
  3. Great read, I probably do it if I didn't just loose my job
  4. That does look real cool without the bumpers, man would it look good with a big intercooler.
  5. I think Amsoil is great! I put it in pretty much every car my family owns, even my dirtbike. Though I have not tried it in my car because I was worried using full synthetic in an older car with this many miles (just over 100k). Not to long ago I had my dad send out to be an Amsoil dealer so pretty soon I will be getting it at real good prices if anyone needs any.
  6. Sorry to kind of take over the thread but, 0100- I just moved from Middleton(next to Danvers) so I know were Salem is. And Chris thats a good chose on tires, I wish i had went with the 50 series now. And what town in NH do you live in, just curious how far away it is?
  7. 0100- Thanks for the compliment, and I am just curious were in MA do you live, I just moved from there a couple years ago. I have the 225/60's I wanted to go with the 225/50's but I had stock suspension then and figured the wheel gap would look funny, and plus they were way more money for some reason. Now that I am putting the new suspension on my car I think it might look fine with 225/50s. And I would go with the 225's for sure. And Ed- about the front caps I just had to hit the dustcaps in and they fit. the only problem is the morons who mounted the tires figured since they don't fit well just throw them out!!
  8. 15x7 rewinds. The only problem is the 245's might look funny because they will probably be pretty wide for 7inch wide rims. I just got the rewinds for temporary use because they were so cheap($220) later on I will go with some wider rims but not untill I have the power to move them.
  9. I have a 280zx so I am not sure if it helps but I went with 225's but once these rear tires are gone I think I might go with 245's.And I just signed up for ZCCNE, I live in Maine and hope to attend some events this year.
  10. Why would you want to get different wheels? I think those ones look pretty cool. I have never seen them before, what are they? KTM_exc
  11. Is this still going on?? I already got some rims from the deal but I am looking for someone else. Thanks
  12. Looks great!! One of the best looking cars I have ever seen. I also like the wheels.
  13. That is awesome, I have the same rims and was just going to ask if they would fit with the Arizona Zcar kit and it looks like they do. Compared to stock front brakes how does that kit feel? I am seriously thinking ordering those brakes in the next couple of weeks. And I had to call about the NASA deal. When you call Konig you have to ask for Jim Fisher. I heard it was suppose to end in 2005 but I am not sure.

    Z31 into S13

A while ago someone posted this s13 with a Z32 TT motor in it, I can't seem to find it again.
  16. The boost controller on my car is a grainger style manual boost controller that only set me back about $40. I couldn't justify the extra cost of an Electronic one, but they do have their benefits. As far as the Coilovers go I know Modern Moterspports sells them for the rear(not sure about the front) But if you call Techno Toy Tuning they can make you some, but coilovers are going to be expensive, a good amount over $1,000. I am about to order all my suspension stuff, Cusco strut bars, Sway bars and because money is tight I will probably end up going with Tockico springs and shocks(only $350 shipped). My personal opinion is that if we had a S130 section it would be dead, maybe it would work though?? Zdriver.com has a pretty could 280zx forum but there really isn't too much tech talk over there, but it is still a real good site. And besides the S130 and S30's have a lot of similairities. Rob
  17. I don't know much about Hondas but from the little I have read the ZC motor sounds like a good swap if your trying to save money, you can get one from Nippon-Motors for under $400. I belive it is a 1.6L twin cam but w/o vtec but it makes a good amount of power. And I think it's a direct bolt in swap. And I am not sure but I doubt it is an Si. And if it isn't an Si I don't think it will have a d16 but probably a d15. On my friends Civic it says D15 right on the block. I am guessing on a lot of this stuff but most if it should be right. If you want I can ask some of my friends for some links to some Honda sites. Rob
  18. I have an 83' that I just had to replace most all of the body panels on and then I just painted it too. Now I am starting to modify it, NPR intercooler, boost controller, 2.5inch Downpipe and some other things. I have a lot of plans for it in the future
  19. I think its for L20 becasue it was the Z31's that got the RB20 in Japan
  20. I would just go with a manual boost controller, and $180 for a gauge is rediculous. For my gauge and MBC it cost a total of about $90
  21. Mike- Is that the car on Watanabe's website right? That is on of the best S130's I have ever seen. Someone else had asked were to get one like that but no one seems to know, you prabably can't get it here in the states.
  22. I like the B pillar on this car, its simple looking and I like how it doesn't have that chrome trim.

    Z vs ZX ?

I don't think saying that the ist gen is lighter is a good argument. The only reason it is slightly heavier because it has all the comforts the older cars didn't have, which could be removed. And if it weren't for the 280zx turbo were would all of you get your motors? I do have to agree that in most cases the 240-280z's usually look better, especially with some really wide tires and some fender flares.
