  1. I used a 38mm TiAL on my 390hp/440tq VG30ET without any problems.
  2. Hahahah, I doubt there are any tuners knowledgeable with MS, save the ones from this board. However, Any decent tuner should have the know how to figure it out via google and their own experience.
  3. The MSNS sticky thread has a diagram that uses a 280zxt CAS, but it has the same pinout.
  4. Isn't that how they do it in the factory, torquing all the head bolts and such at once?
  5. Looks nice! Haven't seen very many in that color, I like it.
  6. You can find ECU's for 30 bucks or so from people from these boards, z31.com, or z31performance.com or $200 from eBay.
  7. the stock z31 ignition is fine for 0-10,000hp, 0-7k rpm. The coil could be better, like an MSD unit, but it is fine, really.
  8. The 300ZX does not do sequential injection at all. It is bank-to-bank until you pass 3000 RPM (and the car is warmed up, etc) where it switches to batch (all 6). Either pre-service campaign or post-service campaign wiring will do the same thing, it does not matter. They are all wired 3 to 1 to save costs.
  9. Try 60ish for the trigger angle. Make sure the dizzy isn't 180 degrees off or a tooth off or anything. set the engine at TDC on the compression stroke for #1, and see if the dizzy points to the #1 cylinder. If it isn't, set it to.
  10. i wonder how it fares against the robot mule....
  11. I used the 24s9, which was the latest when I had my car, on my z31 with the z31 optical dizzy which is about the same, that was on the v2.2 board. The v3 still needs the pull ups, from the research I was doing.
  12. The 84-89s had Bank-to-bank then batch, not sequential. The service campaign (not a recall) for the injectors is just less costly to wire them all up for batch, no other reason.
  13. That's about 200,000 miles. The stock Nissan head gasket works for 20+ psi, I have also used Felpro but many people say they have had trouble with Felpro. For fuel, you can upgrade the injectors but you will NEED to modify the computer, otherwise you'll run too rich, or not run at all. You need to swap to an aftermarket ECU, or chip and burn your current ECU. redz31.com has more info. As far as turbos, it depends on what power you want, not boost level. You can run 14 pounds on the stock turbo, but it won't be pretty. I ran a t3/t04e at 18 pounds, and made 390hp, 440tq... with room to spare on the turbo, but my 440cc injectors were maxed out. The stock turbo manifolds are pretty decent unless you are making gobs of power.
