Crank case vent tube. It goes right under the thermostat on the side of the block. You can't miss the big hole.

The best one I came across so far happened this past weekend while car browsing at Nissan then I walked into parts. I was looking for a '75 280Z ballast resistor for my friend. The parts person types into FAST and searches "resister"...zero results, I said you spelled resistor wrong... he kept going. Then clicks on 280ZX, I said it's a 280Z / S30, he then clicked on 240SX and I proceeded to throw up on the counter. He said "looks like it don't go back that far". I said you’re kidding me, he said we don't have that “projector thing†I said you mean a microfiche. He said "no can you come back on Monday and we'll call Nissan"? I said thanks for your time, mumbled and walked out!!! I did play a joke on a kid at last year’s Ztoberfest in Richmond. My Z had the SU on the turbo motor while I was breaking it in. Some kid was looking at my Z and said “where is the turbo?†I said I put it in the trunk to balance out the 50/50 weight and he was like cool. I had him going for like 10 minutes and everyone around was trying not to laugh. Then I told him the truth and he was like...oh ok, he felt pretty dumb.

hate you... You failed to mention that when we met and had lunch. Anyways, Nice to finally meet you and to put a face with the name and voice. Also thanks for bringing the Z for me to drool over. We made it back home a few hours ago. GPS was great snaked us around the 4th's weekend traffic mess.

You know it!!! Thanks David Yes the valve cover matches the rest of the suspension. It's called silver vein hammer tone. Ron, the craftsmanship and quality are bar none to anything else I have seen. I'll let you know the rest as soon as I get her running. I thought the same thing. I had 550cc Nismo injectors and asked Kevin from Extrudabody his opinion. He said for n/a application they will drown the motor at idle. 14lbs are what he ran on the green 280Z "shop car". With those 14lb injectors he said he puts about 3.5 mili-seconds of fuel at idle, and it idles at 900 rpm. Thanks Austin, I hope you can make yourself available with the SDS install in case I have some questions? I should be able to run your old setup minus a few sensors for my temp n/a configuration?

ITB for now to put some more miles on the turbo motor. I already have a custom turbo exhaust manifold. I need to decided on what intake manifold to go with i.e. N42 non EGR, custom Blake Machine jobber, stock TB, TWM, Q45. I just want to get the bugs worked out of the ITB as they will go on the 810 soon. I am at a library in Western NY on vacation. I'll respond more later....

Thanks. Kevin sprayed it with VHT silver before he shipped it. However, the valve cover is powder coated.

So I am converting the Z over to EFI getting ready for the turbo install later this year. I dynoed the Z with the L28ET w/ SU's on it after the break in. Now I am installing the Extrudabody ITB with the SDS and God knows what else I have in parts that I have been collecting over the years. The ITB's will make it's way over to the 810 once I dyno it and figure out what intake manifold I am going with for the turbo setup. Here are the pictures: Z Therapy SU's and Intake Manifold removed: Prepping ITB Intake Manifold: Swapping in allen caps for the bolts: 14lb Ford Fuel Injectors: Extrudabody ITB's mounted: Fuel rail mounted: Mikuni Short Runner Intake Manifold: Mechanical Fuel Pump Blocked Off: Mounted with Filters on: FPR Mounted: I have a Extrudabody vacuum distribution block to install and all the A/N fittings and s/s braided lines. Then it is on to the gas tank, fuel pump then the SDS install. Going on vacation for a week starting tomorrow so I might not have a chance to respond right away. Thanks,

Yasin, I hear ya man. I am building my 240Z and the 810 for.... ME! It’s my taste on what I would like in performance, style, looks etc.. I could give a $h*t what others think as I said I built it for me not someone else or their approval. IMHO, most people don’t have the coin to spend the $12K for something that nice especially in this day in age. I paid $3K for my 240Z in 1999 and in 9 years I probably have close to $18K or more too scared to add up the receipts and it’s not even painted!!! On my 810 I spent $600 on EBay and I have close to $3500 in parts and none of this includes body and paint which will be more coin. If I had the funds to pay for something like that I wouldn't want to ride on someone else's coat tails of what "they did" and here I come Mr. Money bags and take the credit of their work and their vision. I would never take someone's completed Z as #1 They are never done, #2 Why? I like having a project or two but long term projects just plain suck. I always tell myself to take your time and do it right the first time. Guess that's why I won Diamond in the Rough out of 150+ Z cars at the Richmond Z show last fall. We will conquer the mountain one day my brother!! I always tell myself I need to win the lottery, I guess I need to start playing it if I have a chance in hell to win. -
Danny, I have a local number after speaking to them. It sounds like it won't be a problem he is just worried about shipping cost. Anyways, ask for Joe 724-836-4680 BTW did you try this:

He was a no show as suspected. After explaining my case to the judge I received judgement. Now comes the hard part...collection. I have a few things I am working on hopefully MD law will stretch to CA in the garnishment department. The judgement will be on his credit for 12 years too!! Good luck getting that new car or house I could only hope.

I moved to Florida when I was 2 from Western NY and lived there until I turned 18 and joined the military. My family is still there and I visit but I know you true Floridians can relate to this and if not it's still damn funny, yet so true: You know you're a Floridian if.... • Socks are only for bowling. • You never use an umbrella because you know the rain will be over in five minutes. • A good parking place has nothing to do with distance from the store, but everything to do with shade. • Your winter coat is made of denim. • You can tell the difference between fire ant bites and mosquito bites. • You're younger than thirty but some of your friends are over 65. • Anything under 70 is chilly. • You've driven through Yeehaw Junction. • You could swim before you could read. • You have to drive north to get to The South. • You know that no other grocery store can compare to Publix. • Every other house in your neighborhood had blue roofs in 2004-2005. • You know that anything under a Category 3 just isn't worth waking up for. • You dread love bug season. • You know what a snowbird is and when they'll leave. • You think a six-foot alligator is actually pretty average. • You were twelve before you ever saw snow, or you still haven't. • 'Down South' means Key West. • You think New York driver’s licenses should only be valid in New York. • Flip-flops are everyday wear. • Shoes are for business meetings and church, but you HAVE worn flip flops to church before. • Sweet tea can be served at any meal. • An alligator once walked through your neighborhood. • You smirk when a game show's 'Grand Prize' is a trip or cruise to Florida. • You measure distance in minutes. • You have a drawer full of bathing suits, and one sweatshirt. • You get annoyed at the tourists who feed seagulls. • A mountain is any hill 100 feet above sea level. • You think everyone from a bigger city has a northern accent. • You know the four seasons really are: hurricane season, love bug season, tourist season and summer. • It's not soda, cola, or pop. It's coke, regardless of brand or flavor, 'What kinda coke you want?' • Anything under 95 is just warm. • You've hosted a hurricane party. • You go to a theme park for an afternoon, and know when to get on the best rides. (Space Mountain during the Electric Light Parade!) • You understand the futility of exterminating cockroaches. • You can pronounce Okeechobee, Kissimmee, Itchitucknee , Withlacoochee and Micanopy. • You understand why it's better to have a friend with a boat, than to own a boat yourself. • Bumper stickers on the pickup in front of you include: various fish, NRA, NASCAR, Go Gators, and a confederate flag. • You were 5 before you realized they made houses without pools. • You were 25 when you first met someone who couldn't swim. • You've worn shorts and used the A/C on Christmas. • You recognize Miami-Dade as ' Northern Cuba '.
