I was with my friend in his 280Z after leaving Manassas Cruise-In. It's about 10pm or so we are driving along before getting on Rt66 and one of the heater core lines busted. Now he always carried a tool box but this ONE time I told him to leave it out since we were going to show the Z at the cruise-in. We ended up bypassing the line and used a road sign to cut the hose and a penny for the clamps. Take that MacGruber!!

I am using a Walbro 255 inline fuel pump not a Nissan if it will make a difference. I have the 14lbs installed now and 42lb green top pintle too. I do have 550cc NISMO injectors but they are OEM barb slip on style. Worst case I can have Kevin build me a barb style fuel rail if it comes to that. Thanks Tony for the mouthful very insightful as I am a newbie to EFI conversions and tuning EFI for that matter Jeff, Using a stock or a modified N42 non EGR will probably be my last choice among all others. I am using my Z to dial in the ITB's and to allow more time to work things out so I do the final stage of the turbo conversion correct. I am a lefty and tend to over analyze things because I like to research and learn from others mistakes so I do it right and not play the what if game. Thanks my Brother. Fly it high baby!!!

Here is the modified stock 240 gas tank with sump/baffled: Walbro fuel pump is mounted on the rear sway bar right side ears. A 45 degree AN fitting from the feed will be below the chapman arm when the suspension is fully compressed. It doesn't look right and I am thinking if a rock takes the AN fitting out I am toast. I also read that the pump needs to be below the tank but what do you do when the tank is damn near the lowest part? I was told to use the 280Z stock fuel pump mounting bracket? Is this a better alternative? I guess I could mount it by the rear battery cables up by the spare tire well but then it will be higher than the tank. Thoughts?

David, I know Tom too. I ordered many parts from him as well as my custom braided brake lines for the 810. Fast as hell turn-around too and a super nice guy.

IMHO Rick Rubin is a great producer; Johnny Cash:"The Man Comes Around", Tom Petty, Beastie Boys, U2, RHCP the list goes on. He was credited for the merging of rap with heavy metal if that's not huge to some. Personally I was not a fan of St. Anger and Rick Rubin guided Metallica back from the dead with this new album. They made a huge turn from St. Anger and only can get better from here out.

so far favorite is "All Nightmare Long". I think its great because Rick Rubin can produce his A$$ off (big fan) and turned the band around from the St. Anger disaster IMHO!
