  1. His Engrish is fabulous... Don't take his bribe you did the right thing!
  2. Back up again. Item number: 160226650615
  3. I paid $250 for the seats and $120 to have the brackets made and welded. A much better deal than buying other seats that in some cases for one will cost more than what I have invested in it all!! Not to mention then you have to fab or in my case have someone fab the seat brackets. Plus I like the idea of keeping it Nissan. I am 6'2" and I fit pretty good (in my garage). If I ever end up having to wear a helmet it might be close and I may have to have the square tubing taken out and replaced with some flat stock to drop it down some. Thanks for the comments everyone!
  4. These are 2005 350Z Enthusiast seats I picked up from Mike (mrpratt). Here is what happened: The ears off the stock 350Z seats were cut off. The stock 240Z lower seat rails were welded onto a piece of square tubing. The end result: I have to pull them back out and remove the stock 350Z seatbelt receiver and trim the rear bolts a tad so I can get the washers and nut on it. Once the vinyl sills go back in I may have to trim both outer pockets as they are pretty tight already.
  5. Looks great I like the Buick GN too!!
  6. olie05, What parts if any have been replaced? How old are they?
  7. As of today: 13:30EST 7,000,000.00 JPY = 68,182.95 USD Japan Yen 1 JPY = 0.00974042 USD United States Dollars 1 USD = 102.665 JPY http://www.xe.com/
  8. Yea I will stick with the Isky for now. I may need to talk to Paul (Braap) about doing a P90 or I might go the E88 route like TimZ. I bought the Standard Abrasive porting kit from Summit Racing and smoothed the ports out the best I could. I mirrored the exhaust and slightly smoothed out the intake side and mirrored the bowels. I think with the N42 non EGR and the Weber big throat t/b will get me close vice a Q45 90 pie using the stock injector bungs with custom runners and plenum.
  9. Yasin, Thanks! around 8.5:1-9.0:1 my machinist never confirmed...
  10. Yeah well it's an L28ET, but your right no turbo yet. Thanks! I am hoping 425-450rwhp. Thanks!
  11. Well before taking the SU off after the break in I decided to dyno the Z in a progression stage. Next my ITB are going on, plumbed for EFI and will dyno again. Finally after my traveling for work is done this spring/summer the plenum intake is going on with the turbo. I pulled 4 times here is the break down. • 1st run 3rd gear, stock timing, yielded 140.68rwhp 164.69 ft.lb torque. • 2nd run 4th gear, timing advanced half way, yielded 158.41rwhp 168.81 ft.lb torque. • 3rd run 4th gear, timing advanced all the way (per the plate), yielded 161.59rwhp 174.50 ft.lb torque. • 4th run 4th gear, timing advanced all the way (per the plate), stock air box cover and filter removed yielded 166.78rwhp 166.95 ft.lb torque. How are my numbers? Motor Specs: • L28ET F54/P90 Bored .60 over • Ross Pistons • Pauter Rods • HKS 2mm head gasket. • Entire rotating assembly balanced • Isky Cam: Lift 490 intake, Lift 480 exhaust 290 intake duration, 280 exhaust duration, 1/14 lobe center. Isky Springs, retainers and lash pads. • Ferrera Stainless steel Valves • Nissan Rockers • MSA 6-2 Header • 2.5” Exhaust with Magnaflow muffler • 260 Intake Manifold • Z Therapy SU w/ SM Needles • Early ZX single ear 5-speed transmission rebuilt • OS Giken Twin Plate Clutch • R30 Skyline R200 3.9 Comments other than it falling on its face on the top end? It did it on the first 2 runs and I told Joe not to go over 6500rpm and when it stumbled he did let off. I know I could have taken the distributor plate off and gotten more timing out of it but there was no timing light there to make sure. I didn’t feel comfortable yet in pushing the envelope. Thanks to Joe and the guys at Tempest Racing with the Dynojet 248!!
  12. I am very pleased with the setup. Here are some links of the install and the issue I had with the rear brake line. Initial install pics mixed in: http://www.putfile.com/album/139271 This is what happens when I didn't get the instructions to remove and or relocate the hard line tab. Result was under full suspension compression whammo: http://www.putfile.com/album/154669 Forum help: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=126863 Custom 32" left side brake line from the caliper to the distribution block AND removing the hard line tab fixed it: http://www.putfile.com/album/157770
  13. Thanks Stephen! I just picked up a ZX transmission to get rid of this clunky automatic trans (thanks again for the pedal set). I still need to track down some odds and ends. I'll shoot you a PM.
  14. I have already talked to Kevin concerning the plenum. I haven't decided if I want to plenum the ITB's. I am hearing mixed reviews on using them vice an intake manifold with runners and a plenum. I have an N42 non EGR or I can have someone that can make me an intake and use the Q45 90mm throttle body I have had for years. I am also hearing mixed reviews especially on this forum on using the Q45 "bigger isn't always better".
  15. So after much pondering and after selling the Versa I have decided to keep the 810 for good!! This past weekend the 810 was put up on jack stands and the tear-down has begun. Front Suspension I have started on the front suspension and will work my way to the rear. Since the front calipers are no longer available (NLA) from Nissan, in working with Steve Golik (zcarnut) another 810 owner I sourced Brembo Nissan Maxima vented front rotors and Toyota 4X4 4 piston front calipers. The front rotors will need to be machined to match the lug pattern and rotor hat opening to accept the 810 front hub. I also sourced Addco front Nissan Maxima front sway bar which is an upgrade to the 810. Also Energy Suspension urethane lower control arm, tc rod, and tie-rod end link dust covers. The Earl’s store in Lawndale California built the stainless steel braided lines from Mr. Golik’s specs. Rear Suspension Again many thanks to Mr. Golik! I sourced a complete 280ZX Turbo rear suspension assembly. The rear suspension on the 810 is identical to the S130 or 280ZX. I purchased new Brembo 280ZX Turbo rear rotors and remanufactured 280ZX Turbo rear calipers. I also purchased Addco 280ZX Turbo rear sway bar, Nissan cross member bushings and Energy Suspension lower control arm urethane bushings. This will give me rear disc brakes and rear sway bar. The entire suspension will be power coated and the under belly will be POR-15. More to come… More Pictures:http://photobucket.com/79_Datsun_810
  16. You know it! I did, now I have to give the SU back "new owner is waiting" and she will get plumbed for EFI. I have some parts waiting. The ITB's will be on it until the middle of summer. I have some traveling to do overseas this year then another intake manifold and turbo will go on.
  17. I have it mocked up on my ATK L28E for now. When I convert to EFI I will test it inside the car. Tested N42 Intake Manifold looks good and clears.
  18. Any local auto parts store and Nissan. Price them out...
  19. Thanks for the comments all! Nope LHD, I am hoping too! Will see, if not I will sell it just like I sold my Trust twin turbo manifold and turbos. Wish me luck!
  20. and I thought Jamie T was back it's a 5 year old thread. Seriously, good luck on the blow through madmatt. Post a new thread with some pics and a write-up..
  21. I'd like to give a big thanks to my friend Erik for selling it to me and David for storing this part and shipping it to me. Erik purchased this "sweet peach" off of Yahoo Auctions Japan sometime ago. As my turbo project has been evolving over the past 6 months I have been keeping an eye out for a turbo exhaust manifold. The pictures are from David, I will take more once she gets here as she is en route. Well here she is, I can now check this huge part off of my list:
