  1. 1mm, keep the timing at 32deg and try the 33mm chokes. You need to spend some good loving on a dyno to get it right. I am just throwing this out there for good measure:
  2. Going home to see my family in Port St Lucie / Ft. Pierce and the g/f is staying to watch the furry kids since a last minute sitter won't happen. Leaving next Thursday the 20th after work. Daddsun is riding shot gun w/, he is picking up his S130 at his mom's house in Florida. I have about 500 miles on the motor now. I need to install the R/T diff mount this weekend or just take it "easy" for the trip. I had my first lumbar epidural injection today so we'll see how I feel. Yes I could have taken a plane but what a perfect opportunity for an engine break-in. We plan on leaving X-Mas Eve morning early to make it back to Maryland X-Mas eve. Anyone want to meet up in South Florida or along I-95 South lemme know?
  3. Correct you are JSM. I don't know if someone has a 260Z register however you can email Carl Beck at: beck@becksystems.com he maintains http://www.zhome.com/IZCC/ZRegisters/ and would be the best bet in helps of finding who has her.
  4. You can buy them new from Nissan still. It's around $150-$200 or less.
  5. EvilC, $600 for a strut is what you paid for MSRP back in the day and even today in some cases when you walked into a Nissan Parts Department. However, as I stated: BJ, I might not have made it clear. Their prices ARE NOT Sky High!!! THIS IS NOT WHAT THEY ARE SELLING THEM FOR!! For example I bought a hood for the 810 MSRP was $370.50 I paid $75 that is 80% off the MSRP price!! Besides this hood is NLA from any Nissan Parts Department. Evan, Correct you are here you go, all this info is in the First Time Visitors page as I directed ya'll to check that page out first if you have never been to the site before. Email Norman at: oem@oem-surplus.com BTW I'am not getting any kick back on this just passing it along to my fellow Hybridz brothers and sisters.
  6. so get what you can get now!!! If you are not familiar with OEM Surplus Nissan they purchased Nissan's OEM parts for Datsun/Nissan's from the mid 1960's-1980's over 5 years ago when Nissan wanted to scrap the old inventory. If you have ever gone to the dealer and tried to get a part and it was (NLA) No Longer Available, OEM Surplus might have. The best part is that they knock off 40%-90% off the list price. Shipping isn’t bad either. Anyways I was on there today farting around and seen this: If it's your first time visiting OEM Surplus read here: First Time Visitor They also have a Parts Number Page If you have the part number use Ctrl F from your browser and type in the part number in the Find box and search away. I have bought many parts from Norman over the years and he is a great guy. I have a feeling that everyone can benefit from this even more. BTW the Main Page carries other OEM car manufactures parts as well i.e. GM, Ford, Dodge, Toyota to name a few.

  8. That is good old South East D.C. for you. Andrews AFB isn't that much better than Bolling. Most AF bases are in the middle of nowhere or in the outskirts of a city that has gone downhill or is barely staying afloat because of the military presence. I haven't been to all USAF state side military bases but he should be fine. If he is single and lives in the dorms then no problems. If he is married he should get on the housing list 30 days before he PCS. If they don't have base housing his "sponsor" at his next duty station should be able to help him settle in. http://www.barksdale.af.mil/ http://www.barksdale.af.mil/library/ http://www.barksdale.af.mil/library/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=4550
  9. Steve, FYI You revived a 5 year old thread I do the same thing from time to time.
  10. I sold my early 240Z radio for over $350. Sold it to a guy who was restoring his Z and HAD to have it.
  11. Hey all, I received an email from http://www.por15.com. It's been in my junk box go figure. Just thought I would share...
  12. I have never had it bubble when applying it over a rusted area. True statement. POR-15 destroys and stops the spread of rust. Why make more work for yourself, it will be one less step. I would use straight up POR-15 although you can use the prep products that comes with the POR-15 "kit" as well. Some say Rust Bullet works just as well if not better 6 and 1/2 dozen it all depends on who you talk to and what day of the week. If you have lots of scale knock it down with a wire brush. You don't have to sand it smooth because it will stick to any surface prep. If you are installing frame rails coat the inside with POR-15 before welding to the body. Good Luck!
  13. Andy, You might want to post that in here. You will get more exposure, also you can try Ebay too. I picked up my 6F in the classifieds on the board. Keep an eye out and good luck!
  14. Congrats Brian it's only a blurb but who cares!! You will get that cover feature one day on page 80. I took the liberty and scanned a few pics. Little sense?? WTF ever, if they only knew right?? Damn it, now back to yard work in this bitter cold. I hate leaves!!..
  15. Thanks lol... "Express By Cannon" LOL Tony, Thanks I found some neat stuff in Okinawa when I was there too. I lived off base for a while in Mizugama then moved on Foster. They are going to come out and look in person in the next week or so. I will report back. I would rather a collector have it and have it sit somewhere to have others appreciate it. Maybe with a mention of where it was found and my name on it.
  16. The Society said great find it's on your property do as you wish. I had one collector from the State of California say it's worth $300-$500. I have it listed on my local community website. It will go on Ebay later on.
  17. You can run either size. With the 255 they will stick outside of the fender unless you flare it. Or you can run 225/50/16 all the way around. If you are looking for the staggard look then 205/55/16 front 225/50/16 rear. Here is my 240Z with 225/50/16 all around on 16x8.5 -6 Type R Watanabe's: I had 245/45/16 rear on 16x9.5 -19 Type R Watanabe's here is what they look like on GC coil overs: Good Luck!
  18. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=virginia+Statute+of+Limitation
  19. Looks like Virginia has a 5 year Statute of Limitation on written contracts and 3 years on oral agreements. BTW I still have a hood
  20. Looks legit read on: http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/gnx-fortunate-547/214764-359-all-cleaned-up.html http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/gnx-fortunate-547/233030-9-mile-gnx-never-titled.html
  21. This listing (120188671172) has been removed or is no longer available.
  22. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=38846 Same ones everyone is raving about in the 12 ton but in what you are asking for.
  23. I re-used my 240Z Goodridge S/S Braided lines for the OEM caliper and OEM bridge pipe. I just repositioned it so it won't interfere with the steering. Don't forget to trim the backing plate too. Good Luck!
