Because the fel pro gasket I have blew as soon as i did 15 psi of boost. Timing isn't aggressive and tune is pretty good (12 afrs in boost) and running a large intercooler.

I am about to buy a metal head gasket, the ones I see being sold by kamerari and hks etc say 90 and 90.5 mm bore, while I have a 86mm bore block. I realize that the gasket is going to be a tad larger, but will this work correctly? I don't want to drop 300 bucks (which sucks, by the way) for it to not be the correct size. Also, any other options on these metal headgasket? Alamo autosports has a HKS 2mm gasket and wants 350 for it.

I blew my crappy fel pro head gasket. I don't want to do this again, looking for either a 1.5mm or 2mm MLS. I don't get paid till friday but I need to line one up.

I got two ebay 12 inch fans and I like them.

Yeah nick i had to notch it pretty good on both sides.

Pro tip: Don't buy 3 inch piping. It took me so long to cut up everything to get it to fit, it almost doesn't.. When I open or close my hood it rubs on my 90 deg bends off the IC, I need to fix that.. Gotta get my BOV and air temp sensor welded on.

I'd really like to install my intercooler this weekend, but my dad is out of town and the only person I know that welds is not available. If anyone in the DFW area could help me out I would really appreciate it, I would of course be willing to pay you if you wished. Also if you know how to wire up some electric fans that would be great too.. Plus ill bring the beer!

Little update. Replaced coil and everything works correctly now. I have my 24x12x3 intercooler and 3 inch piping on the way along with twin 12 inch fans and a hayden fan controller and manual boost controller. my plan is to run 10-12 psi. I will have it on by next weekend. I also went to cars and coffee yesterday, car got a decent amount of praise. I hauled ass when pulling out and managed to squeel the tires through the first three gears. Im going to start working on my s130 soon.. going to strip it and make it a autox/drift/ road race car.

That is weird, I have the same tranny and never had that problem. Whats your rear end ratio?

Ok Nick, as soon as I figure out exactly what I need ill buy them off you. I found electric fans for 30 bucks each from silicone intakes that I think im going to use, seems a little risky but if yours works then ill assume these do.

I'm pretty close to buying my intercooler and piping, but I want to be 100% sure that I will have all the correct pieces. Can others share what pieces they bought so I don't waste money buying more piping than I need? Edit: Realized my title makes no sense. "What pieces exactly did everyone use for their intercooler?" fixed.

well those fans generally pull a lot of amps, and the relays get hot, I believe this is normal.

Jsm good question. I got to see bloz ups car in person and i just loved his vg30et. Clean bay and it sounded narly. Something i would consider to swapping to one day.

I have 7 inch wide wheels, and I dont think I have more than a half inch of clearance (between the rim and spring perch) in the front.. food for thought.
