  1. He's talking about the hole that gets blocked by the flapper valve.
  2. Check with Motorsport Auto about springs. I know they have specific springs for the 2+2. Also, I should memtion that the springs are stiffer than stock. What type of ride are you looking for?
  3. Most items are made for the coupe. I think the rear shocks are the same but, the rear spings are alittle stiffer.
  4. Nice video... Good race. You should have shown the guys face after the race.
  5. Looks like we know the winner! Both cars sound sweet. Funny what Mike will answer to. He doesn't live near a school does he?
  6. Not saying this is what's happening but, it may have finally have come time for the 4 pistons skirts to have become an issue. I think your on the right track with pulling the pan to see what's in the bottom of it. I personally would stay away from the motor flush unless your going to just pour it in and let it soak the bottom of the pan and then drain it. That stuff really turns your oil into water. If your wanting to flush the motor I think I would buy to or three rounds of really cheap oil changes and run those thru it after 100 to 300 miles each.
  7. The look of that pump says to me that there is alot of trash in that motor. Pull your oil filter off and cut it open with a pipe cutter that does not make shavings. Pull the filter media out and take a look inside it. I've pulled pumps out of 170,000 mile motors that did not look that bad. May be time for a rebuild. Is this a new J/Y motor or one that you've been running for awhile?
  8. Your right a good welder makes a big difference.
  9. Loved it again! Wish I could do that! Maybe someday.
  10. Hey Mike, how about comparing it to a stock turbo oil pan. Mainly the front area of the sump compared to a stock unit. Thanks
  11. You just need to copy the way it is setup on to your new intercooler piping.
  12. Yes, ofcourse it'll all get smoothed over. I'm using this bumber cover as a trial peice. It's been bumped in the coner pretty hard and will need to be replaced before paint time. I still need to finish the mount to hold everything up in the center, insulate the heat shield that isolates the gas tank from the exhaust pipe, and do final fitment of the tips. Most importanly I need more time to get it all done. Never enough time!
  13. Personally I say don't brace and when or if it cracks, fix it! We've all seen lesser manifolds hold up and not crack.
  14. For a temp. solution you can use hose that is used to connect gas tanks to filler necks. This can be found a Napa or a Big Rig place.
  15. You need to run 3" pipe with some quality 3" silicone couplers and good t-bolt clamps. Trust me it's the only way to go.
  16. Ok so here's the latest thing I've been working on. Most it's all been rust repair and other boring things so I decieded to do something that I've been wanting to do for about 5 years so I could get motivated again. Tell me what you think so far.
  17. I was told the sump comes to far forward for the front crossmember.
  18. I wish someone had a competetion pan for the ZX.
  19. You might fill the turbo in the oil inlet hole and make sure to pull the coil wire off and make sure the engine has oil pressure before firing it off.
  20. Looks good. Can't wait to see how it runs and sounds
  21. I have 17x7.5's all the way around on my ZX and the rims will fit the back without the spacer ( 1.5"), So yes that combo will fit with the right offset.
  22. Looks like mine jumped up some to.
