  1. Think they could do that for about $1,000? Since I'm local... J/J would be neat to have a 6 speed.
  2. Are you guys looking at the dates og the orginal post? I think it's done by now.
  3. I think we would all like to have one that James made but, I think he actually gets what his time and skills are worth as far as payment goes.
  4. Try Arizona Z and Nissan Comp. I would give you the links but, something tells me you already have them.
  5. Looks like the idea may have some merit in the right situation.
  6. Look'n good. How about some more info about the dash!
  7. Wow. Looks great, can't wait to see how it fits and the results of your work.
  8. Your not getting the answers you want because your posting several questions about many things in the wrong forums. I'll see if I can help you anyway. 1. Motorsport Auto, Arizona Z, Good luck 2. In a Z yes. I've never seen one in a ZX but, that doesn't mean it hasn't been done. I'm sure it could. Don't over look the Turbo L28et it can be made to be very relieble at high HP levels with the right engine management systems. Don't worry about the weight. Make the power and it won't matter.
  9. My '82 ZXT weight 3030 at the Drag races back in '03.
  10. I had the manual rack in a '79. I really liked it at the time but, that was when I was alot younger.
  11. I have the JWT set up!! Funny we both have this guys old stuff. Haven't talked to him in awhile.
  12. I don't know how he was running 26psi. I've got his old computer and trust me I can't run anywhere near 26psi with it.
  13. I think those taillights would look good on the back of my Z. Anyone else follow me on this one?
  14. It's amazing what these motors will take after a little TLC. Who knows how many of these engines have been turbo'd after being pulled out of the JY and made to produce 300 to 400 HP.
  15. I've delt with them a couple of times and they seem to be getting a good rep. here in the DFW area.
  16. I agree about the paint brushes. I bought several of the cheapest brushes they had and trimmed them down to make them a little stiffer. I also thinned some with laquer thinner and it worked well in some spots. You'll have to play with the ratios to see what you like.
  17. Are you talking about Norwood?
  18. I actually saw one the other day going down a rural highway. I couldn't believe my eyes. I some parts of the Dallas area this would be no big deal but, in this location is was crazy to see it.
  19. Wow, I would have so left after telling that guy everything I was thinking for wasting my time. But, you didn't and it looks like you making good on your plan to save another Z. Looking good and I like the rims. I've seen and heard about the "Redneck slide hammer" works pretty good. It's amazing what you can get done when you think about it for awhile.
  20. I did my floor boards (top and bottom) and it looks good and seems to work well. Can't say I would use very much of it on a race car though. It real heavy!
  21. My best friend in High School had one and we lots of fun in it. The biggest thing that I remembered about the car was that is was not as tight as a Z car. I had a 79 280zx and his RX7 was an 83. The car ran good and it was fun to wind out the motor.
  22. I've never heard of that happening but, I guess it could. Focus on how good it was running and fix whatever happened that made the cam not spin anymore.
