  1. Good point! This can go along way to helping solve your proublem.
  2. Usually when a vibration is just in a small range of speed it is the tire balance.
  3. I can't believe what that sold for.
  4. Was that tin foil in the trunk?
  5. No, it will never end. But, you know that before you ever started!
  6. Are you saying it would run on propane aswell as diesel all the time or when it needs extra power.
  7. Check to see if you have to much light behind you. Might be hard to prevent but, I know if I have one of my shop lights pointed in the wrong direction it can cause this proublem.
  8. Looks like in interesting project. Keep us updated. I second pallent on the brackets. You wouldn't want that thing moving around while at speed.
  9. Make sure you look up all the work and cost that goes into making this free fuel into real fuel. What I understand is that after the set up cost the cost of fuel is low. If I had the space and the need I think that would be a cool way to go.
  10. Matt, what I think your talking about is called scale. It is best to remove this before welding. I really like the roto gasket remover disc on a 2" angle die grinder to help clean up welding areas. I use this for both the area to be welded and the area that I'm going to place my ground. Also you want to wipe the area with acetone just before welding to make sure it very clean.
  11. I don't think it's that they don't have the power to spin the tire but, that they have dialed in the supension and all so that they can get maximum traction at the RPM they are launching at. I'm no expert but, it seems to me like if you could get a good launch then hit the juice after you are hooked up it would help.
  12. Looks like your really getting the job done. Post results from the highway cruise when you can.
  13. Yes, there is a small cyninder inside the caliper but, it's not like a brake piston. It just rotates with the pull of the cable for the handbrake. Just buy a set of reman calipers and have them installed.
  14. Funny what effect fine tuning your machine can have on a nice weld.
  15. I second that. Really makes the job so much easier. Worth every penny.
  16. Here's what I have on my car. Do a search on Top End Performance before purchasing from them. They did a good job for me on this one. http://www.racetep.com/flywheel.html
  17. That was great. I have no dought that given the oppurtunity all of us would atleast think of doing the same thing. Hopefully we'd pass and just have to wonder!
  18. Wow that thing looks really rough for the amount of miles and lack of launches onit.
  19. Looking further at the plugs I think they look good as far as color goes but, alot of that will depend on how the car is running off boost right before you pulled them. Also, maybe it's my screen but, do I see tiny specs of aluminum on them? Any cracks, chips, or defects of any kind? Do a search on here about NGK plugs. About a year or two ago there was some good info on here. Also Gumpyvette post some very good links about reading plugs. Heres some info: http://www.dansmc.com/Spark_Plugs/Spark_Plugs_catalog.html Hope this helps:grin:
  20. What are you gapping at? I have had good luck with running .032 .
