  1. So when you replaced the pads what else did you replce. Sounds to me like a master cyclinder is bleeding off pressure or you are getting some pad knock back. Do the pads vibrate when you barley put pressure on them? Have you checked for run out of the rotor?
  2. I agee with Mike here getting the another Mig to replace the one you have now would be easier than buying a tig unit. You could even upgrade to a nice 220 mig unit.
  3. I impressed. Those are some really good time for a N/A motor. That thing must be fun
  4. I know how ya feel when I was first getting into turbo stuff I called them "Cartech" and the lady that I talked to said "oh you need to talk to Corky" He must have spent 4 hours on the phone with me over the course of many phone calls. I couldn't belive the customer service and the time he took to explain things to me. I had heard of him before but, did'nt really know how big he is in the turbo world. Needless to say I bought everything from him.
  5. I personally look at things like this and think to myself that "All it takes is time or money." Sometimes it's a little of both. Like in this situation you could have the machine work done at the shop (money) and then learn and reassemble the block yourself (time). Sure it's gonna take you longer then the shop guys to do it but, it's kinda fun and you'll learn a tons of things. Also after it turns out great it's kinda neat to tell people you assembled the bottom end and did it all yourself. That is with some help from the HybridZ crew. It's really not that hard and like the guys said before your going to need some special tools but in the long run you'll save alot of money and enjoy the process.
  6. I didn't have any proublems with mine but I did use the bolts out of a camber kit when I did mine.
  7. My kids scream out and tell me that it's like being on a roller coster. Nothing like making your kids smile and be happy with one of your toys.
  8. Funny your interior looks alot like mine does right now. I would show you a pic but, I lost my camera
  9. Dude that's looks and sounds great.
  10. It's been perfect weather for working on the car. I've gotten so much done in the last few weeks.
  11. Bastaad525 is right, it's doesn't take to many mods to really get these cars going. I've beaten some serious machine out on the highway back when I used to do that sort of thing. It's really funny to see their face then. I once beat a modded LS1 Trans Am with my car full of camping gear my wife and a full tank of gas. The guy pulled by when it was over and gave thumbs up. I also had the race against a Corvette at the track. It was an '83 model which really has always been one of my favorite cars of all time. I smoked the guy so bad it didn't look like he raced. Something like 3 full seconds.
  12. Funny but, I once thought of the 5.0 Mustang as compition but, now they are a waste of gas. What a good feeling that is with a turbo Z. Glad your getting to enjoy the fun.
  13. What about cutting up a US unit to port and then weld back together?
  14. I was thinking about that post aswell. I'm going to do something to solve this proublem some day but, who knows when that will be. I even have a couple of old units laying around to play with. One of the biggest proublems I've had is that the piston wears on the top and bottom and eventually rocks back and forth in the bore causing uneven loading of the seal which makes it eventually fail. I've learned that when I notice on about to fail I get a new one on ASAP. They don't last long after the first sign of failure.

  16. Thanks. The rims are a brand named Chromadora. It's an Italian brand and unfortunately they are no longer made.
  17. Looks good! Just wondering about the 2.5" on the adapters isn't that a little thick? I have them (1.5") on my car so don't think I'm trying to bash or anything. Just wondering about the size for future reference.
