No. What you just copied and pasted is from section (4) of the 44011 which pertains to "all motor vehicles four or less model-years old."

Show me where it states this from the BAR or DMV. I've heard plenty of people state this, with zero documentation backing it up.

My car is a 72 and completely smog exempt here in Cali. Who cares if you get pulled over and questioned? Anything I do to my car is legal because there is no smog law for it. Car is an all original California Z, born in So Cal raised in Nor Cal. .2.4L with all original parts .120K miles .Automatic .Very Clean Interior .MINOR rust, some surface rust where the are a couple paint chips on the driver door. The car runs and drives just about every day as long as it's not raining. I was planning on doing a V8 Swap and full restoration, but I realize how rare these cars are in the state mine is in, all original and clean. Be patient. I found a completely rust free 72 240Z in Santa Clara for $2,800. Runs perfect, perfect interior, and zero rust. Gotta just wait and search like I did for about 3 years before I finally bought mine.

Wouldn't a -44 offset be tucked into the fenders pretty far? Since you have the ZG flare I assume you could go with something more aggressive?
