  2. I second the SHOEI! It worked like a charm for me . Also, the fit was excellent, and it had great ventilation. !M!
  3. Navarino? Hmmm, never heard of it. I have a '73 that's getting a lot of cool, new suspension stuff right now (if I can ever get my last damn strut cartridge out!!) and hopefully soon, it will have a '87 Turbo Buick V-6 nestled in it's engine bay . Good luck with your LSD. Feel free to drop me an e-mail anytime to chat or whatever . !M!

I think Lockjaw might have meant this, The "Adjustable Differential Stay" is what they call it. !M!
  5. Yet another Z guy from around here! Cool ! Where are you located? What LSD are you going with? If it's the '87-'89 R200 LSD, I have to say good luck trying to find one, and if you do find one, they are going for ~$550 and up. If memory serves me right, you can't use the R180 half shafts for the R200 diff.. You need ones from a R200. You have two options, CV's or U-joints. Do a search in this forum and you will come up with all you need to know to perform the swap. !M!
  6. I was going through some old links and found this Cool stickers for V-8 guys . I figured a lot of you guys might enjoy these tastefull stickers and window banners. !M!
  7. Tee Zee, no I didn't get any of this on film lol , wish I had. I was actually thinking about taking a picture, because it was so jerry rigged, but then I would have had to go inside, wash up, grab the camera, go back outside, take a picture... I wanted to just get the damn thing out. I'll let you guys know what happens tommorow, and I WILL have the camera handy to share the joys of removing a stuck cartridge . !M!
  8. Holy crap!!! Another Z guy around here! Hey, I checked out the pictures of your Z, and damn that's a clean car! Thanks for the offer for the torch, but I have one at my disposal. I would love to see your car sometime, if you like, give me a jingle on my phone sometime #414-975-7168. There's a good handfull of us Z guys around here, most are into hot rodding these little cars, so it's a lot of fun to chat with everyone. Two years ago, there was a first gen. Z in Waukesha, kind of goldish brown in color, sitting at a gas station with a V-8 allready in it. Never found out what happened to that one. Anyways, when I'm finished with the coilovers, you are more than welcome to check them out. Oh yeah, there is a guy named Paul (hotshift13) that lives in Waukesha also, he has a 260Z that he's putting a turbo L28 into right now. There is also a guy named Rob (S30blues), an old buddy of mine that has a '73 like mine, he's looking to put something into his engine bay right now, he just doesn't know what yet. I had him convinced to go Buick like me for a while, but now I think he's goiong a different route, but I do know it will have a turbo, that's just his style. Hey, are you keeping that R180 in your car? Just curious. Take it easy, Mat !M!
  9. Well, I have to postpone 'till tommorow (unforseen chick problems ). Hopefully Mark, I can get this cart out and I can let you know how well your Illumina's fit. I still can't believe that thing wouldn't budge a fraction of an inch when yanking on it with the truck . I'm still chuckling thinking about that . !M!
  10. Yeah, I'm thinking I'll try heating it next. I didn't want to at first, because like I said, this is the only cart that still works and it is full of oil still. I didn't want this thing to blow up spewing hot oil all over the place (ouch!), but... I'll give it a try. Hehehe, yeah, hooking up a strut to a tree, then using a truck to pull the cart out sounds like going a bit overboard, but the nieghbors got a kick out of it! !M!
  11. Hey guys, I finally got the chance today to begin work on my coilovers. I have been soaking the gland nuts in WD-40 for the past week and that worked like a charm, none were stuck, and one I was actually able to take off with nothing but a twist of the wrist and no tools . Well, the rear carts came out just fine, very stinky and they both didn't work at all, no dampening whatsoever, no oil left in them. Now the front drivers side was completely shot and I was able to grab the cart shaft and work it like a slide hammer to get it out, it was REALLY stuck in there. Almost like someone had pressed them in. Now the front passenger side, that's a whole different story. This cart would not come out!!! This cart actually worked, so I couldn't use it like a slide hammer . It actually came to the point that I used a tow strap to attach the strut to a tree, welded a tow hook to the cart shaft (because the nut that goes on the cart shaft ripped right off on a previous attempt!!), I then used my truck to attach a chain from my truck to the welded on tow hook and proceeded to yank on it... it wouldn't work guys . I was really yanking the heck out of it, but the cart would not budge!!! It just wouldn't come out! The neighbors thought this scene to be a bit comical, but hey whatever works (shrug). Do you guys have any advice on how to get this thing out? I still can't believe that it would not budge yanking on it with the force of a 2 ton vehicle. I stopped for fear of damaging the strut itself. AAAAAHHHHHHHH what a pisser this is, I am so close to sectioning my struts and putting on my coilovers !M!
  12. Maybe... when you were filing(sp?) that metal away, some of it got inside the caliper and is now blocking the bleeder. Just throwing some ideas out here for you. Did you take the bleeder out completley and see what happens? It really sounds like you are just pushing air through the lines and no fluid yet. Just out of curiosity, could you tell us the process that you use to bleed the brakes? !M!
  13. I have road rash, because I didn't wear my leathers when I crashed, and let me tell you, it STINGS!!! From surgeries to cuts and broken bones, road rash has to be one of the worst to have and to take care of when healing. John, I know what you mean when they have to clean the road rash, they have to get all the road debris (scrub, scrub AAHHH ). I will never go without my leathers on again!!!! Hey, Auxilary, go easy on the guy. I can tell you that he probably learned his lesson, unless you know the guy and he still rides like a dumb@ss. !M!
  14. Looks as if the casters keep it from spinning and the car falling down. I bet if you gave it a good push and one of the casters neglected to move, it probably would fall down. Doesn't look as sturdy as a rotisserie(sp?) though. !M!
  15. What's the projected run on these? By which I mean, how many are you making? I would need them to have a sway bar mount for my car. Also does $475 include shipping? Thanks. Oh yeah, Jason, can I get some pictures sent to triphopin@yahoo.com? !M!
  16. Hahaha... I had to chime in and say I love your name! Disco Stu rocks!!! !M!
  17. I had a grin on my face the whole time I read that. I used to love to play with Lego's. !M!
  18. CONGRATS!! I can't wait to see some more detailed pics. Really good to hear that you got it on the road. !M!
  19. Anyone have any pocket change? Not that bad of a deal IMO. There is one thing though, in the description of the vehicles, it seems as if they really don't care for them much, with both having broken air dams and all . Here's the link Honda stuff . !M!
  20. Man, I wish I could of seen that! VRRRROOOOOOOOMMMMM...... smack(car takes to the sky)...........SMASH!!!! "Ah, yeah, she sure has some 'get up 'n go'!!!! !M!
  21. Holy Balls you have a lot of info! !M!
  22. I wouldn't recomend using the offset bushings. I have seen many posts about people buying them, then taking them out because of ride harshness and too much noise transmitted into the Z. Just my $.02 !M!
  23. D'OH, it's not! Hold up the picture of the mini whale tail and you can see that it's different. I have a picture of another car with the same wing mounted above the lock also. It looks like the rear spoiler on that white car in the background of that picture that I posted has the mini whale tail, you can see the differences, they're subtle, but noticeable. I posted this same picture a while back on a different forum and had some guy from Australia say that they were sold over there, but that is all the info I got out of him. I have since been trying to find this spoiler. If it comes down to it, I'll have to make it. I think it just looks cool, and it's different. !M!
