  3. hi, my names Chris, i also live in Richmond Texas, about 11 miles from sugarland area, an have a 1981 280zx, an 1983 280zx. im trying to get in tuch with other Z car owner's so i was just stopin it to see what was up an what you have done to your 260Z, an how you'r build is going about?

  5. I am not sure that su carbs are up to the task of flowing the required amount of fuel you would need. You might want to look into a setup like this. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=124201 As far as the them holding up to e85, I think that would be a simple chore. BTW, its methanal that is thr really corrosive one. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaae85 is not nearly as bad.

  11. Car was not on a 50 shot at the track. The car wil be going to the track and makeing a pass on a 50 shot then a 100 shot. Not trying to argue, just did not see the point you were trying to make. I was mearly asking you to state why you thought a 14.2 was a poor run/ should have gone faster. Now I know you thought the pass was made on the gas.

  13. I dont follow.... So its all stock but you messed with a boost controller....hum Auto tranny known to run faster on the turbo cars. So what are you saying? That my friends car was still faster than yours on nearly identical setups before you messed with the boost? And by .3 sec I might add.
  14. Maybe you can explain exactly how the N20 took out your friends motor? I suspect the nitrous had nothing to do with it unless it was a tunning / operator problem.
  15. I have spent about 3 hours trying to get my new laptop to communicate with my MSnS. I downloaded the most recent vertion of megatune off diy but I realized it does not work with 029q2. My old laptop was setup by a friend that is no longer around. I am not real good with the bare bones workings of software and such so maybe some on can point me in the right direction. My old laptop and current on will be using a usb to serial converter. worked fine with the other laptop. running win XP on both machines. As soon as Olie05 is back from China He will be helping me to update the firmware on my current MS with the 2.5map and my new one with the 4bar map so Please dont suggest a firmware update just yet. If nothing else will work than I will be open to it but ot just yet.
  16. Yeah, everyone I know runs 93 or better in their turbo cars. Thats a good idea though, I did not think of the cooler plugs. I will tell him to do that. We are going back next weekend and going to be trying the 50 shot then the 100. If he feels everything is going well we my try the 125 jets although I am sure I will be trying to get him to thry the 150 jets muahahahaha:evil:. For the 100 shot We will probably just pull 2 deg timming. Probably will pull more IF we decide to go for the larger shots. He does have a wideband so at least we will know where he is regarding that so the afrs will be safe.
  17. I believe 260zred has the hookup on the 044 pump as of right now. They flow what, like 315lph?
  18. So after a trip to the local 1320' we decided to toss my n20 kit I had laying around onto my buddies 87 z31 turbo. So we tossed the jets in for a 50 shot and it was a pretty good impovment. So 100 shot should be real fun right? Well, it would have been had the fuel pump been able to keep up lol. So once the new fuel pump goes in this week we plan on jetting it for 100hp. Car is 100% stock minus the pretty much open exhaust. The questions is, do you think the nitrous has enough of a cooling effect to turn the boost up to 9psi or so? I was thinking turn the boost up to 9 or so and pull about 2-3 deg of timming out of it. And for all that are curious the car ran a best of 14.2 (all stock except for the exhaust) 265-50-16 khumo Victoracers on the rear.
  19. it does get a bit rich between 4 and 4.5K rpm. But, since you have no intercooler yet I would not be worried about it. Better to be a bit rich with those boost levels and no intercooler.
  20. Nope, you will be fine. I ran my turbo motor like that for almost a year.

  22. that is a non turbo manifold. The turbo manifolds plenum is the same as the N42.
