  1. Slow Oldie did my external gate setup and I have been wanting to get some pics real bad. I guess this is a good excuse. I think he did a great job! I will see about getting some up tomorrow.
  2. Now I asume you need to port match that manifold? From what I saw the runners were far from stock diameter. Looks like we need to get that car to the track ASAP. Like I said I will be heading to Hennesy on the 30th for the Midnight 1320'. If you are down you should bring the car out.
  3. LiPo batterys!! VERY light weight & extreme out put. Most 20-30c batterys are capable of 100+amps. Mine is good for over 200apms. Plus brushless motors are just what you said. I typicaly see 30min run time on a single charge because the motor is like 85-95% efficiant.
  4. I thought that was pretty fair considering the size.
  5. Not really! They are being thrown on alot of z06s. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Pirelli&tireModel=PZero+Nero&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=72YR10NXL&fromCompare1=yes&place=0
  6. I am actually 11.83 now @ 17psi I put down 242whp & 314wtq @ 15psi (mustang dyno) on my 4th pull and VERY heat soaked. Running very rich right now too. Trying to be a bit safe till I can finish my exhaust so I can hear if I detonate. I plan on going back soon for a 20+psi pull fairly soon. I also dont remember if he was running meth or not. I dont and probably wont ever. old rb25det turbo @ 17psi (not rb motor). Knocked over a full second off my time so far with just a bigger turbo (62-1 stage 5 & BB)
  7. You are loading too much tounge weight. I have pulled probally 500 differant s30s, s130s, z31s and z32s all over TX with my 5spd 4cyl 91 toyota P/U. I just have an add-a-leaf. You put too much tounge weight on these trucks and will find you have ZERO brakes. When you load the truck basically measure the hitch height before and after you load and the hitch should not drop more than maybe 2". Also run the rear tires and the trailer tires at there MAX psi. this will keep the side wall stiff and the load will be more predictable. If you still want to stiffen the rear of the truck air shocks are just about the best way to go. About $60 each from most auto part stores and much easier to install. Plus you can lower the air preasure in the shock when there is no load so you can keep a civil ride.
  8. Could be a differant dude. The are quite a few z guys in town.
  9. well it was only 280hp so all the tq was way down low then it probably fell off hard. not really a dyno queen. If i remember right the motor when in to this car.
  10. Yeah, he did the initial MSnS install on my car. We would ocasionaly talk on the phone or hang out at car meets and such. Obviously I have no info what so ever about it. I only heard about it from by brother who heard it from a buddy. See, Ted was kinda known locally as the guy with the fast rental vette. He basically went out and rented a hertz edition 2008 Vette and threw on a 100-ish shot and went out wooping every ones ass and taking home some money. Its the standard "whould have never though" kinda thing. All though everyone always said something is a little off about him. I do feel for him and the victim. Not sure why some one would kill but I really dont know any of the back groud so.......... As far as the hp caim. I would have to say I believe it as the dyno was done a SGP here localy. They were at one time a reputable shop.
  11. Was arrested for murder a few months ago. Out on 200k bail right now. Gto was sold long ago. http://www.houstonsbr.com/sbrf/index.php?topic=2104.0 .
  12. I am waiting for the infamous R200 wheel stand pic!
  13. well they also have 2 extra injecters flowing fuel. http://www.rceng.com/technical.aspx though I think they tend to calculate a larger injector than you need just slightly/
  14. well then your answer is yes. with welding and skill anything can be put on or in any car. I think you shouod also spend some time on wikipedia.com to see how some of your general automotive systems work. Such as terms like "welded diff" and "Limited slip".
  15. I think any oil pump will be fine to get you going. ALSO!!!! Be sure the remove the front cover or at least just the oil pump cause when you are done drilling you need to flush the oil passage out very well!
  16. On my maxima it waas a breeze. If you have bothe motors out and on stands you should see VERY quickly what needs to be done. On all L-series there are boss' in the front and in the rear for the oil pick up. If the motor needed front sump then the front boss was machined out and vise versa. You will need the pan and pick up from the l24e. SOME l28s are already partiall machined for a pick up, some are not. Basically once you locate the front boss, which should be easy, just drill a small pilot hole all the way to the oil gally. then just keep steping up to largeer sized till the correct size hole is achieved. I will see if I can take some pics later. Once the hole for the oil passage is drilled then you will need to either just bolt up the l24 sump OR if the block does not have the holes predrilled AND tapped you will need to do that. Dome block are already drilled for the bolts but have no threads soma also have threads. Then of course you will need to block off the old oil pick up hole. I leave that up to you to figure out the best way. I just stick a bolt and washer in it and welded it up.
  17. back on my 79 280zx I could also peg 130 in 4th and 5th I went past 6500rpm several times. 195-60-14 tires.
  18. Just pop the interior panel off and see if it will push out.
  19. Only problem is now the head needs to be matched to the intake. Oh well, just means more power!!
  20. QWERTY keyboard typo is my guess. to answer the question. It will depend on weight of the car and tune quality but I say it is possible.
