^^^ Yup. Have a 2000 grand am gt. 180,000 miles as of today!!!. I do the intake gaskets every 60,000 miles. Did not know about the fix though. I will do that next time. I will tell you though, for not being a jap car the reliability is crazy!!! Only did one tranny service @ 60k miles never again, Just did the alternator, still has ice cold ac, keep gas in it and change the oil. Car never gives me any problems. Just got back from a 700 mile road trip this weekend pulling about 1800lbs of trailer lol. On topic though, I never shop at Vatozone.

328lb/ft on factory r200 and half shafts. Not sure of what model companion flanges. Now has a 100 shot on it also, so take a guess at what kinda torque.....

Some tomes happens on motors that have been sitting...... Pour in a quart of tranny fluid, go drive the snot out of it then change it again. Still might smoke but even if it does it should clear up after some time on the road. I bought a 79zx that had been sitting forever. Drove it onto the trailer when I bought it, smoked like crazy! Drove it for a while and it cleared up.

You know nissan has a actual part number for a timming chain wedge..... I just cut a peice of 1x4 into a wedge and go to town. Do yourself a favor and tie either some strong string or a coat hanger to it so you cab pull it back out.

Well the 4spd in my car now has survived more abuse than the 5spd that was in it. Yup, 11.8 sec pass and I am now spraying a 100 shot on top of the power it made to do the posted time. Have yet to be to the track but its holding. I love them stoplight 2nd gear clutch dumps too lol. As far as the clutch. act or spec stg-III

So... Guy asks about a specific turbo on a specific motor Guy with experience with that setup give his opinion on the setup. Person with out said experience chimes in a spews some crap about a budget and super quick spool. Dont worry about the fact that a holset can be had for under $300 and is good for over 400whp....... WRONG!!!! The RB25det turbo fell on its face after 4500rpm. It sucked! The reason the Z31 Kouki kame with a t28 not a t3 was because it ran less boost and a higher compresion ratio. This was because of complaints about the turbo lag from owners. ANY RB TURBO ON AN KL28 WILL BE A PIG!!!!! Fact is it isn't sized properly for out motors.

You're going to get banned if you dont find your shift key soon! I am pretty sure the rb20 turbo is WAY too small for the L28. I used a rb25 turbo and it was too small.

Probably not, if yours is just a stock turbo swap you will be good to get a 14.0 My car is probably lighter than yours and (not to toot my own horn but) I probably drive better than you. I am not bragging but I tend to do better than those with similar or better setups. I have drag radials and a very nasty clutch also. Having said all this please let us know what you do run. my car back when it was 100% stock turbo swap ran a 13.8 @ 99. Ecu upgrade, injectors, FMIC, open exhaust and more boost and a 12.9 @ 104 was the result.

Or you could just TDC the motor per the FSM. That would be aligning the can marks. Then mark the damper with a paint pen or white-out.
