  1. Thanks, I will try that first chance I get.
  2. OK, file uploads work again. MSQ and datalog attached. MS.zip
  3. I did, it is in the file that I uploaded.
  4. Hmm, I never had those parts with the rest of my 280ZX Turbo parts.
  5. Attached is a copy of my latest MSQ file and a data log from earlier today... If anyone has any questions about anything, ask away. I will respond promptly. http://www.2shared.com/file/4984525/32dc28c/MS_online.html Apparently file uploads are broken so I uploaded it at that link. Let me know if that doesn't work. I can email it to you!
  6. Alright, guys I am starting to really freak out over this car. I need to have it running very soon because I am losing my other car. I am apparently (checked spark plugs) not getting fuel or spark. I seem to have everything hooked up properly. My wiring is basically as follows (except with my distributor wired per the first post in this thread and I am not using any idle control equipment): Also I am running a switch for everything and the key is only used for the starter. In a few minutes I will post my current MSQ file and a data log. Is there anyone that can help me? Throw stuff at me, I only have a chance at the car a day or two out of every week. Or if someone is in the San Diego area that is good with MegaSquirt, and would be willing to come look at the car, that would be even more helpful, and I would certainly be willing to compensate... Thanks guys!
  7. It looks like this KA install article here (http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=242073) is exactly the same as an L28ET, basically. Following those instructions, I should have JS10 removed and I should be using the 330 ohm resistor, correct?
  8. Hey, just wanted to let you know I love your build thread. I miss my 300ZX every day. How is it running with the MegaSquirt?
  9. There is already a wire between the middle pin of where the BIP 373 module goes and somewhere else on the board. Would it make sense to put the resistor there? I think that sounds kind of dumb, sorry, I'll check out where the wire leads to...
  10. Alright, the BIP 373 module showed up today. I ought to be messing with it on Sunday. Does anyone off hand know where the 330 ohm resistor should be used (if at all)? I am reading that it would normally be used with MSII/Extra, which I am not using...
  11. Not anywhere near the same distance, but I drove mine from Southern California to Southern Oregon stopping only for gas on a blown head gasket, and I overheated it once during the drive. Then I drove around in Oregon for a few days before pulling the engine.
  12. Possibly, you ARE applying a +12v to it.
  13. Well, I just ordered the BIP373 module. I ought to have it in by Sunday and will hopefully have a running car then.
  14. That's how I have mine wired. It doesn't run yet, but I am fairly certain that is correct.
  15. Hmm, so basically, I am hosed until I solder in this part?
  16. Well it is a standard MegaSquirt II PCB v3.57 from your website ordered in late December. Would that tell you how it is off the top of your head?
  17. Well, there was never any smoke or anything, so I am assuming that I have the newer part inside, but I will have to check it out. It was purchased about a month and a half ago if that's any help.
  18. Is that on the inside of the MegaSquirt? If so, I'll have to look at it. What should it be?
  19. Thank you very much - I didn't put those values in, they are left over from someone else's settings. That will be the first thing I try when I next go down to work on the car on Saturday.
  20. Here are the MSQ files and the datalog (which I'm not sure will be helpful). megasquirt.zip
  21. Hey everyone, Here's what I've got: 1983 rebuilt L28ET with forged bottom end with compression bumped to 8:1 Factory distributor Good condition factory turbo injectors No intercooler Factory turbo in good condition MegaSquirt II v3.57PCB LC-1 wideband O2 sensor MSA downpipe 240Z coil I wired it like this: I have been working on MegaSquirting my Z since late December. Just last weekend, I finished all the wiring (I think and hope!). Everything is nicely soldered together, and looks great. Just today I got it so all of the sensors seem to be working. It displays the correct RPM when cranking, AFRs show the same as the gauge (not very helpful since it won't start) TPS works fine after I calibrated it, etc. Anyways, I am not getting any spark, and I am not sure why. I have 12v at the coil, and the - side of the coil is wired to pin 36 on the MegaSquirt. I have the ignition settings set to 'Spark Output' to 'Going High (Inverted)' and set 'Coil Charging Scheme' to 'Standard Coil Charge', per the article on DIYautotune. When cranking, I continue to get 12v on the + side of the coil, and the - side of the coil seems to be grounding out from pin 36, as I think it should. With my multimeter it jumps from 12v to ~5ish but I doing think the multimeter can change fast enough to show that it is actually grounding. I've done nothing to the inside of the MegaSquirt itself as far as playing with jumpers go. It is just bone stock from DIYautotune. I'm not really sure if anything there needs to be changed. I'll post my msq file and a few seconds of a datalog while cranking in a little bit, I have them both on the laptop I am using to tune it. I appreciate any help or suggestions! Thanks!
  22. That actually looks like it wouldn't fit all that bad. How did the clearances look underneath?
  23. Have you tried adjusting your timing?
