  1. I really love the way this vid shows the extreme power you can make
  2. A co-worker of mine is from Aus, he considered moving back but didn't soley because he would have to convert his MINT '65 Riviera to RHD. This is to the Sydney area.
  3. The music snob inside me is screaming- "But they sound awful"
  4. I've got a stock 78 280 (fi of course) and would be willing to lend it to dave for a few days to swap parts and make dyno runs. I know most of the debate is carb vs. carb but I thought maybe he would be interested in this. And if it works that well I'll have him leave the carb on there and purchase it from him. I will try to call his shop this week.
  5. I disagree about the aftermarket support. I have seen way more parts come out for the 56 over the 45. Yes everything for that is expensive but any kind of major swap into a Z32 is. I have installed a stillen supercharger with secondary injectors and the piggyback that came with it onto a customers QX56, and I have to say that it kinda scared me on the road that something that big could move the way it did. I am all for the swap. I know it would be awesome. After seeing the RB26 swap on RBZ32 that tayfuu did I have confidence that the 56 should be no problem. Remember this site is about thinking outside the box. GO FOR IT!!!
  6. Back on the road tomorrow!!! Awesome, I really hope to meet you and the infamous Z before I move away. Incredible work.
  7. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/car/550780951.html was this it?
  8. I knew it was a steal right away but was worried cuz the guy was a major tweaker. I think the fact that he was high as a baloon when he signed everything over really worked in my favor though:p. the wiring is a huge mess but a painless kit should do the trick. I already have started to order interior parts from black dragon because if I get the interior nice right away my girlfriend will appreciate that much more.
  9. It has an E31 head!!!! This is perfect since I wanted to make it a vintage racer.
  10. I bought it. Z number 3. If the title proves to be that much of a pain I will buy a shell and make one wicked car out of all the others.
  11. Sorry for the crappy cell pictures. Towed it home today. I will not be able to tear into it till saturday .
  12. Sorry for making another one of these threads, but I feel like I can trust you guys. Trying to get into another s30 and having so much fun doing it. I thought I was getting an amazing deal on a 76 with zero rust but before I came with the trailer someone upped the bid and went home with it. After I got the call I immediately found another that caught my eye. 73 s30 The bad- Interior is in the usual rough shape Rust on the quarters by the door corner No keys Bill of sale only (lost title) Lots of little dents and dings And most of the usual crap Front cover and oil pan leak The good- Early L28 Tripple Mikunis Fires right up Toyota calipers Looks amazing from 10 feet I talked the guy down to $400. I drove it but it soulds like its almost metal to metal on the front brakes. I dont think I should have a huge problem getting the title, but if I do I'll think of it as buying Mikunis and getting a car with it. I have an 83 NA P79 with a BW 5-speed, r200, cv shafts. Two 76 L28's one with an early 5-speed (both n47s). I also hase the old long tube 6 into 2 race header. I am pretty sure iI am going to go pick it up today unless anyone here has some good warnings. I know that I can make an awesome car out of it. What do you think?
  13. I have had to charge the dealership for several sockets because of this. You can split or actually round out the socket.
  14. Wow that really blows. Hope it doesn't affect the rest of your daily activities as badly. Feel better man.
  15. http://classifieds.hybridz.org/showproduct.php?product=4787&cat=19 in the old buy/sell/trade section under turbo/supercharger. Its Probably sold though.
  16. Just build a Dry Sump System! Try racebread.com or skylines australia. Every once in a long while someone throws in the towel and sells their project. I have seen Crankshafts for sale with the mod already done or not being needed at all.
  17. dont mind the mess R32 AWD trans and the Z32 trans
  18. Go to another machine shop. To get the collar installed and have the entire rotating assembly balanced was about $200 on our rb.
  19. Happy B-day its too bad that you have to spend it doing home remodeling. Wow I grew up in good old Espanola I've probably passed right by your house at some point.
  20. Woops just saw the other reply. Probably talking about the same car.
  21. Lotus 7 replicas have been doing this for a while. Somewhere on locostusa.com there was a build thread on a 7 with two turbocharged yamaha R1 engines. Youtube it (I cant i'm still at work). Its wicked fast. Plus its amazingly fast shifting with this crazy cable clutch/shift lever in one thingie. Sounds ridiculous but it really is and I would love it.
  22. Got the DVD in the mail yesterday and finished watching it already. Its amazing!!! The sound is dubbed about half a second late but its still great. NOw i need the next set of episodes.
  23. I saw it there the paint was actually very clean and seemed to be done right. However, the caliber of cars there was ridiculous. There was a Cadillac GP car for sale!!! Also the truckasaurus or whatever its called is GINORMOUS. Someone on here should but it.
  24. I had the Planet Bike ARS on my daily road bike. I have over 2000 miles on that saddle and I love it. The race bike is a completly different seat but im not on it everyday. This one works for me because its super narrow and lightweight like a race one but with an inch or so of padding. http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/SA602A00-Planet+Bike+Ars+Anatomic+Saddle.aspx
