Exactly for the price those rims and tires were there is no going wrong. They look great and I am pretty sure they will hook better than the previous combo. If I was given the opportunity to buy the tires that cheap I would be trying everything I could to get them on my 8.5" rim.

I rode a bike everyday to work the gym and then home. I followed all the laws and had all the equipment. That is untill 2 months ago when I was hit. Now I dont ride but drive to the chiropractor three times a week. The worst part is she has a crappy insurance carrier and I havent seen a dime. Not even to replace the bike. Trust me, my insurance and I are fighting this tooth and nail. I loved riding it was awesome. Just do as was stated in the above posts. NO DRIVERS SEE YOU.

First off there are tons of NA RB motors out there its just that no one stateside wants one so therefore no one talks about it. The RB26 is not the only RB motor and I'm pretty sure thats not what he meant in the initial post. Secondly the 26 ITB manifold will not bolt up to the 25 or 20 head. Some of the RB's came with distributors and not coil packs. Find an Imported and mention exactly what you want. I highly doubt anyone would advertise one online.

My 73 hit 65 when I drove it home and parked and gutted it. I'll hopefully try that one again soon. Maybe 100 in the 83. The RB240sx easily hit 166 and still slowly pulled with about 1800rpm left in 5th. This was done several times and also confirmed with the calculator. When I worked at the proving grounds High Speed Driving training started at 75 then 100 then 130+ around the oval. The instructor just watched how you reacted to different things. How calm you were, what you did if he moved or talked to you. This was is a caged G35 coupe also. Since I was on the night crew for a while and had my high speed license I had to inspect the high speed car every night before it was used. Obviously part of the inspection was to go stupid fast on the 5.7 mile oval at night. Needless to say that was the fastest ive ever driven. Even faster than my 06 R1.

Generally most people would go with the smaller diameter tire, plus its wider. Nitto NT-01 Best amateur autox-time attack tire you can still drive home with in my mind.

I kid you not. The exhaust is extremely loud but it didn't sound too abnormal.

I thought I had already posted this story on this site but I guess not. Early in our RB240sx project Jer had the car parked at his crappy apartment complex not far from ASU. He was in the good habit of pulling the puel pump main fuse EVERY time he got out of the car even if just for a minute. About 2 in the morning he heard a familiar sound. The sound was the extremely loud electric fans wired to a toggle switch on the dash. The engine would obviously crank but not start. They kept flipping that switch hoping it was a kill switch. He immediately called the cops. He stayed on the phone with dispatch as he watched their every move from the window. He told the dispatcher about the one guy in the car and the lookout around the corner. He watched as the guys both got frusturated and got in the car as the cops politely tapped on the window with their sidearms. Both guys were convicted and ordered to pay for the damage. We never saw a dime. Oh well I am sure they have since stolen more cars but not ours. All ends happily.

One of the cars I did also required both hands. One to turn the key and the other to push the cig lighter in. I modified the lighter coins so it wouldnt get hot and red it would only complete the circut. Plus when we got out of the car all we had to do was throw the lighter in the glove box or in my pocket. It would just look like a normal empty lighter socket. I also wired in a separate 12v socket for the cell charger (radar detector). Worked like a charm.

A guy from work here has a 98 240sx with a KA-T and Unreal suspension. It is a time attack car. He built it with CP pistons, Cometic hg, ARP everything, custom top mount manifold, GT30r and the full AEM EMS system. At 18-20lbs of boost it put down about 430 but was kept at 14lbs dyno tuned at 356hp at the wheels on a mustang dyno. I have driven this car and can attest to the fact that it is stupid fast even on the low boost. However, after much abuse the rods apparantly weakend. He was giving me a ride to an appointment I had and cruising at about 2800 rpm it died nothing loud though. We tore it apart and found the no.1 rod snapped and ripped through the girdle and block. This weekend we put the new motor together with the new Carillo rods and new CP pistons. This time it has a ported head though . It should be wicked fast for another 8 months before it breaks again. were gonna finish it up this weekend and have fun all next week.
