  1. Ronal 15x7 aluminum wheels. They're quite lightweight, 0 offset, and will come with picture Yokohama ES100 225/50/15 tires (less than 600 miles on the tires). I'm going to go with 16x8 wheels instead, and these readily clear 4x4 caliper and s13 rear brake conversion. Flaws: One rim has slight curb rash for about 4" in length, and one rim has a small dent in the lip from when the bmw ******* hit me. It doesn't leak any air though. Comes with special acorn style lugnuts and mcgard key per wheel What's a fair price for the set?
  2. I don't think that explanation qualifies the imperial, new yorker, fury, or the likes as muscle cars. They're definitely huge, and they did have optional big blocks.
  3. I am trying to see if I can get our hybridz guys in on the zilvia.net group buy. Price is 399 shipped for a set of 4 16x8 0 offset in silver, gunmetal, or black according to the post.
  4. I can try, but this one's out of my hands since I don't have any direct contact info, nor do I know the reliability of the current source for the GB When I did group buys for flares and rims, I had direct connections with people I personally knew, and lots of folks know me here in person, which makes it easier to trust someone online, you know?
  5. the 300zx tt, rx7tt, supra tt were the japanese supercars, selling for 40k+ 240sx was a cheaper alternative, and it sold for about 23-27k new. technical description of a sportscar is lightweight, roadster, 2 seater, rwd. Cars that fit that description to a tee are: -bmw z3 -mazda miata -mg roadster -etc the layout of the 240sx (2+2) made it more of a sport coupe/pony car than a sportscar. Technicality, maybe perhaps I worded it wrong.
  6. well what do you know, turns out they might rehash the razor concept again! http://jalopnik.com/cars/gossip/sharpening-the-razor-new-dodge-roadster-coming-to-geneva-show-231694.php
  7. 240sx was nowhere near a cheap sportscar. technically, it was a pony car, same layout as a mustang/camaro/etc. just a weaker motor. I remember in 01, you could buy base z28 ls1 camaro for 22k out the door. If anything, that fits the category. Dodge had an interesting concept a while back - the razor. It had the 2.4L turbo 4 out of the srt-4, rated at 250 horse, rwd, 6 speed. manual doors, windows, ac optional. This would have been THE perfect sportscar because the plan was to offer base model for 15-16k. Unfortunately, dodge scrapped it. But it would've been a wonderful starting platform. Stripped g35? Isn't that a base 350z without rear seats?

  9. OK, following up on the 16x8 wheels, the zilvia.net guy doing the GB ended it on jan 25th... I emailed him to see if he'd make an extension, or if he wants Z guys to jump in on this as well. So... anyone want to buy my 15x8 sportmax 002s?
  10. oh wow, I didn't know this. Must be a custom purchase, because I am sitting at Dana's house (who i did the group buy for 15x7 with), and he says that they require a minimum amounts for custom build I think I will sign up for group buy myself! thanks for the heads up
  11. I have no idea where you guys are getting 16x8 in 0 offset from, since sportmax doesn't make it in that size at all. but good luck anyway
  12. I'll see your bumper piercings, and raise you with this tatoo
  13. intercooler without a turbo to build boost? http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=260860 http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=57753.0
  14. mine has some surface rust, and the real bad part was the frame rail support under the floorpan. I had to cut it out because I could literally poke holes in it with my finger
  15. Mongo is just a pawn in game of life...
  16. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3025053 this is their new fad. rusted hoods. And the audi is asking for some car violence
  17. will do. The reason jackstands were in the front is because I needed tc area space to work
  18. right now the car is sitting on jackstands. 2 are on the rear upper crossmember where the MSA rear sway bar normally mounts, 2 are in the front frame rails close to radiator support
  19. UH... how did they do that? not a very good shop if it's hitting on the axle, or for that matter, there's a notch in the front differential crossmember specifically to route exhaust.
  20. Mike, I contacted that vendor last week, actually. He said that rotary will blow out the packing on that muffler. Sorry. I wound up ordering the magnaflow unit shown above... I've got until the 31 to make up my mind if I want to change it, since it's backordered from summit.
  21. Cut out cancer out of the support rail a while back, it was pretty bad... baddog rails are coming shortly. It's not all the way through, just the lower section of the floorpan rail. Do you guys think after this, my frame is more tweaked, or will it be safe to weld in the rails on jack stands as support? or is a frame rack preferred?
