  1. Mine wouldn't budge either way> I wound up completely rounding off the plug edges. (fill plug). I had to fill it through the reverse light

I am pretty sure a new v56 motor does not cost 3-4k. Maybe the short block
  5. http://www.buyautoparts.com/ 54/front, 38 rear. these are oem replacements though, not x-drilled/slotted.
  6. I think the best thing would be to take it to a radiator shop and have it boiled out and recoated internally. Probably cost under 100 bucks
  7. well, we all at hybridz want to have different cars, right? he'll be the first documented f20c powered Z, as far as hybridZ knows, right?
  8. Use the reverse signal plug hole. It's 1/2" below the tranny filler hole, so if you jack up that side of the car where the hole points out of by about 3" higher than the left, you can get a good fill with appropriate amount of tranny fluid. I had to do that with the 5 speed I got (albeit that 5th gear would never stay in gear, so that was a pointless purchase, and I felt ripped off). The drain filler plug wouldn't budge under anything... 4 foot breaker bar, impact gun, etc
  9. I was doing about 130, actually. Maybe later down the road... it's a very capable handler, but it's also a daily driver.
  10. and on that note, no one park next to datsunlover!
  11. 120, yes 140... no. not possible with how much power I was making
  12. according to my window sticker, 95% parts are from japan, and it's assembled in hiroshima next generation focus is going to be on the 3 platform. the current 2.3 focus engine doesn't have variable valve timing either
  13. technically speaking, that is a cosmo motor... 2 rotor cosmo, anyway. used to have twins, now single. it's a 13b-re, which is basically a series 5.5 (between last turbo 2 motor and the 3rd gen rx7 motor). Has bigger intake ports and smaller exhaust for torque
  14. yup. what johnc said. That's why subaru diffs are so popular with the 510 crowd... direct bolt in
  15. nope. friend of mine is buying the neon, so I get 3k back on that. Neons have no trade in value, I would've been offerred 1k for it (ignoring the fact that I just did the suspension, brakes, timing belt and water pump on it... and the mp3 stereo system)
  16. there, now everyone should feel better. especially mr. paraska
  17. i can relate... trust me, I can relate. been there, done that. I lucked out that the insurance guy turned out to be a Z guy and didn't total out my Z
  18. I go to another dealership, we're talking, he says "what did the other guy quote you from our dealership over the internet?" me: 16,400 sg: ok, I'll do 17,800 out the door me: let's go lower sg: ok, 17,623? me: make it even 17,600, we talk about mp3 option tomorrow, and seal the deal [it's 100 bucks over invoice] sg: ok. we'll get the car in on sunday at 10am me: no need for a deposit? what if I change my mind? sg: well, then I guess it's our problem and mistake in judgment, eh? me: hah, call me tomorrow with the info, and you got a sale sg: cool. can I see the SKS? FIVE minutes. I got the deal I wanted in 5 f**king minutes, lol.
  19. yeah, that's from last weekend. Front mount is done, tranny mount done (sort of), now I need to pull it and strip and paint the engine bay
