  1. I've searched, but never found an answer to this question... People always reference the initial timing when using the stock ignition because that is what you can easily measure. How do you know what that initial number corresponds to when you are at a certain PSI and RPM?
  2. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=100927 Here is a previous discussion about master/slave cylinders and ACT clutches....
  3. Can somebody please post pics when they get these on their car? I've only seen pics of two Z's with them mounted. I don't have plans to mount mine for a few months.....
  4. FYI, There was a Mr. Ernie Manansala that used to be the contact that apparently is no longer affiliated with Konig. This is the guy that you want to talk to for this deal.... Jim Fisher Sales Manager KONIG MOTORING ACCESSORIES (516) 822-5700 ext. 206
  5. Ordered a set of 15x7 silver rewinds last week. As a few others said, I just couldn't resist this deal. I tried but couldn't.... UPS man just came!
  6. That's terrible, I don't even know you but you definitely have my sympathy. Keep your head up. -Sims
  7. That's great. Pine Grove (the location of the car) is only a few miles from where I grew up. If you have ever lived in the area of Schuylkill County, PA this story probably won't surprise you too much. Different breed.
  8. I've run a BOV from day one, but I have run around with it disconnected. I get compressor surge very very bad. It's bad enough that I won't drive the car like that. Mine flutters too, but I don't think I have any leaks.
  9. Not bad Mario. When those pipes are metal instead of plastic people will definitely give you great comments. Looking good.
  10. Z-Gad, Excellent, excellent, excellent post! I see that you have listed a few mods, but can I assume everything else is stock? I have been running around daily with my Z at 12lbs creeping to 15lbs and wondering how long the stock internals are going to last. I'm keeping 11:1 AFR and 20* total timing under full boost. I have the itch to up the timing, but I think I'll sacrifice some reliability/durability. What have you tuned to?
  11. I took it out last night and ran it pretty hard, no misfires that I can feel. It's difficult to give it a good test on the road, because after a few seconds at 10+ PSI you're well over the legal speed limit. I guess that is not a bad thing as far as performance goes. I have to get to the track. This thing pulls hard, I'm very happy with this swap.
  12. Thumper, Cap and rotor look great, I guess I could place the rotor and measure the resistance from the tip of the rotor to the center electrode. Maybe I'll do that. I'll test the wires as well. I'm using 8mm crane cams wires. I left the plugs at the factory 0.044" gap. I'm running 12PSI, creeping up to 14PSI. partnumberkey.pdf
  13. Bastaad, I would agree from a technical standpoint, but in my situation this problem took months to develop, so I'm thinking that either. 1. The coil slowly "weakened" if that's even possible. 2. The plugs had become slightly fouled, even though they appeared relatively clean IMO. I just hope the problem doesn't return. I actually cut all three of my dyno runs short around 5K RPM because I was experiencing these misfires. I would like to do another dyno session in the fall now that it's dialed in.
  14. I have been experiencing misfires under boost (6 PSI and above) for the past month. I was running NGK BPR6ES-11 plugs and the stock NA coil. Yesterday, I put in NGK BPR7ES-11 plugs and a MSD Blaster 2 coil. No more misfires. Just thought I'd share.
  15. Second that on James Thagard. http://www.speedshopthagard.com/
  16. 2850 lbs before the turbo swap, haven't weighed it since. 1976 280Z 2+2 Stock, no spare, slotted mags, about 3/4 tank gas My 2+2 is the fattest thing yet on this post.
  17. Mario, I see that Proloximus (sp?) just installed an NPR with his turbo swap....
  18. Thanks for the complements. A dyno sheet database sounds like a great idea bastaad. Here's the video link...low quality but you get the point. If the link doesn't work, it's in Hybridz > Video section. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=2763&cat=509&page=1
  19. Thanks Tim, I didn't know that. Although, I think there are many features here that many of us don't know about. I'll tinker with it and see what I come up with....
  20. I would like to post a video of a dyno run. Can anyone reccomend a free video hosting service? Any offers to host it, hint, hint.... Thanks, Sims
