  1. Unibit and tape is very good info. Another process for thin fiberglass that tends to twist and tear even with a sharp bit; drill your hole way undersize and open it up to your scribed lines on the tape with your dremil or die grinder and carbide burr. Chris
  2. MO sent today, be on the lookout! Thanks, chris
  3. A z-32 5 speed tranny and a z32 to L adapter. Thanks Austin! chris
  4. Add one of those itty bity battery powered dremmil tools and the set will be complete! chris ps: my most manly tool tote is the handy dandy 5 gallon bucket.
  5. I agree with most of the feedback so far. Do you reload? If so you might want to consider a larger round than the 9mm. Seems that the "good" loads for the 9mm are usually a compressed powder charge. This makes it a pita to get all the powder in, move to the seating station and start the bullet without spilling powder everywhere. I have experience with .380, 9mm, .38 Super, 38/45, and 45 ACP in my autoloaders and the 9mm is the least favorite. I really like 6-shooters best, don't have to chase brass. chris
  6. Well since nobody else asked, I will. What's up with numba 12? I also wear a beard and need to know! chris
  7. I cut aluminum angle and tubing on a chop saw intended for finishing crown molding etc. Just use a thin, fine pitch carbide blade and don't try to force it. Use a light touch and it will cute fine, mitered corners and all. chris
  8. The crx is a good daily driver, even modded. The suspension will be somewhat harsh with anything stiffer than stock. The short wheelbase and light weight both contribute. I still have mine, b18 and all. You might want to swap trannies, the ls does not do the b16 justice. It likes to rev. Mine still gets 30-32 mpg even with the b swap. chris
  9. 1fastz, cruez and ezzzzzzz posted good info. If a turbo or other hi hp mod is in your future see: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=113143 chris
  10. Honda did just that on the 94 Acura Integra. The B18c engine has an intake plenum with two sets of runners, one long (low speed) and one set shorter. A butterfly valve switched to the short runners at approx 5800 rpm. Not an ITB but different intake runners. System works well. chris

  12. times two! Look at pix p1010029, that car has also been hit hard in the fight front fender area. chris
  13. Check with Bad Dog for hinges. chris
  14. Just a thought but isn't the heat removed from the oil going into the intercooler? I planned to mount my oil cooler behind my intercooler for this reason but mine isn't as thick as yours........... BTW, how did you manage to find an oil cooler and a thermostat with the same centerline on the fittings? chris
  15. David, you might want to check the street rod community. I was at Charlotte Autofair last month and saw a vendor with stacks of T1S's. All new and in the larger sizes. I'm thinking, damn, I ought to by a set for my Z. Got a smaller set on one of my Honda's and like them a lot. I cannot remember who had them though. Just a thought............ chris
  16. Alan, that's great. I love British humor........... chris
  17. You're gonna love it! I recently added a Millermatic 175 and cannot understand how I've gotten along without it all these years. chris
  18. Anybody have a source for these injector clips? I'm gonna need them too.... chris
  19. Yeah, that's me. Still can't decide about removing this area, I don't want to make extra work for myself. I can possibly weld in new metal like BJ suggested. chris
  20. 78 views and no one has had to deal with a rust hole in this spot? Surely someone has an opnion on toolbox removal? I'm leaning toward cutting it out. chris
  21. Found a new (to me) rust hole adjacent to passenger side rear wheelwell: From the inside: The easiest way to properly fix it is to remove the tool box area, cut out the cancer and weld in new metal. How important strength-wise is this boxed area? If I remove it, it prob won't be worth re-installation after my spot weld removal techniques. I could do without the tray and the enclosed area it provides. Should I leave it out? I am building a street car and improvements include Zed floors, Bad Dog framerails and subframe connectors, and possibly an 8 point roll bar, u weld it type. TIA for your answers. chris
