  1. I have honda sk2 seats that are very nice. I just never seem to have finished making mounting brackets for them. I'm waiting to buy a welder to do the job. They do site in the car nice tho. Justin
  2. Heres my 77 280z that I bought for $700. It didn't turn over when I first got it. I ended up fooling around with it found a lot of butchered wiring. Once that was worked out, everything worked great. At this point, It looks like this. I had a slight hood bender, so I have a flat black hood on it now.
  3. Couldn't you just order a single piston from JE? Justin
  4. Doesn't really have a good cage in it. Cool car never the less. Justin
  5. MB weapons are $140/wheel in a 17"X9" +17offset(5-114.3mm) http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findWheelDetail.do?rcz=97123&rc=ORPINT&wd=17&c=6&pc=53636&rw=9&bp=5-114.3*5-4.5*5-4.5%252F5 Also, I found a 17"X9" wheel for 4 bolt hubs. 5zigen FN01R-C. $207/Wheel http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findWheelDetail.do?rcz=97123&rc=ORPINT&wd=17&pc=66828&rw=9&bp=4-114.3*4-4.5*4%252F5-114
  6. BS, with the proper safety equipment, you will not get booted for IRS when in the 9's.
  7. Wow, I love this car minus the wing: Enkei RPF1 18X9.5 front 18X10.5 rear
  8. Its likely 1mm oversized intake and exhaust valves
  9. GT42R's can make 35psi by 6500RPM on a 2.0L B series honda. Not bad considering they make power to 10,000+ Justin
  10. I'm going to run 5Zigen FN01R's in 17X10 with +12 offset(6" backspacing) front and rear. 5X114.3mm. To be able to run these wheels, I am converting to Z31 hubs up front. In the rear I'm going to run a 5 lug stub axel with Z31 turbo rotors. I have to run an 8" rear coilover spring to get the spring above the tire. I have found them as low as $215 per wheel. They are cast, but at that price point I feel they are disposable if I bend 1. You can source these wheels from any discount tire/America tire. http://www.discounttire.com/ http://www.5zigenusa.com/product/wheel/fn01rc/index.html Regards, Justin
  11. What capacity is that fuel cell? I really like what you've done so far. What model is that and what did it run? Regards, Justin
  12. Does anyone have any pictures of the Koni 8611? I specifically want to see what the compression adjustment looks like. I'm considering this strut for my 280z, but dont know how difficult it will be to fabricate a spacer that allows access of the compression adjuster on the bottom of the strut. Regards, Justin

  15. I really doubt the need for such a large oil cooler.
  16. I have been thinking that there should be a Hybrid Z book list for technical books that will help further educate us on technical subjects related to our cars. Help Me add to the list. Also, I was thinking we could read a book as a group and discuss a different chapter every couple days as we read through the book. This could be very benifitial for people to practically apply the readying to Z cars. Good Books: Engineer to Win by Carroll Smith Tune to Win by Carroll Smith Chassis Engineering by Herb Adams Race Car Vehicle Dynamics by William and Doug Milliken JTR Conversion Manual Race Car Aerodynamics: Designing for Speed - Joseph Katz Competition Car Aerodynamics - Simon McBeath How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems by Jeff Hartman Street Turbocharging by Mark Warner Forced Induction Performance Tuning by Graeme Bell Maximum Boost by Corkey Bell Performance Welding Handbook by Richard Finch Modern Welding by Althouse, Turnquist, Bowditch and Bowditch The Metal Fabricators Handbook by Ron and Sue Fournier
  17. Oops, I will be running megasquirt of some variation on this project. Probably MS3 when it comes out. Justin
  18. So if I do ARP head studs and a good headgasket that should fix the problem. What would be the next weak link. Justin
  19. I'm going to be turbocharing my factory rebuilt L28 long block in my 77 280z. What is the most people have made on stock pistons and rods? I want to push the stock engine until a piston cracks or something. I feel this ethanol fuel will help a lot with heat management on this counterflow cylinder head. My game plan: Custom stainless turbo header. GT35E .82 a/r (non ball bearing gt35r) 3" turbo back stainless exhaust 12"X18"X4.5" Garrett Bar and Plate intercooler with custom endtanks Custom intake manifold with larger plenum and radius entry runners 750cc injectors Bosch 044 fuel pump E85 pump fuel 25psi So what do you guys think will fail first on me? Regards, Justin
  20. How about a british racing green? That would surely be much better then the puke green. Also, anyone else like this lime green lambo color?
