  1. Has anyone tried the P30-0032 Bilstein without revalving for a dual purpose street/track car? I'm thinking of trying them out with 225lb Front and 250lb rear springs. For the money I could always have them revalved if that doesn't work right. Regards, Justin

  5. John, what spring rates did you end up going with? Also, any word on what brand damper those are? Bilstein? Justin
  6. Its the syncro design that doesn't like to shift at high Rpms. Justin
  7. The inverted strut design reduces unsprung weight doesn't it?(typo, I ment unsprung not sprung weight) Justin
  8. http://www.arizonazcar.com/newparts.html It would be cool to find out what struts inserts these are and look at the shock dyno. Also, wouldn't this lighten up the suspension a good deal since it doesn't retain the majority of the factory strut tube?
  9. OMG, that is nuts! 45psi I'd imagine plus that 150shot. WOWZA And that VG transmission is still holding?
  10. That TKO trans wont shifter very well over 6000 rpm. They shift fairly slow and dont do so well. The T56 is a better choice if your going to be shifting at higher RPMS. Justin
  11. Can anyone get the 20% off coupon to work when ordering online? It doesn't work for me. I'm typing in the BAR CODE number but it wont work. Justin

  15. Wow, cool project you have there. Makes me want to get into composites as my next thing to learn how to do. Justin
  16. I really have no intentions of trying to drop the S30 chassis on top of a complete C5 chassis. I was just thinking of using the front portion of the chassis from the rear of the engine to the steering rack. Boodlefoof, have you started building the custom spaceframe to utilize the C5 suspension? Regards, Justin
  17. Maybe adapt the RX7 FD front suspension: Or the C6 corvette:
  18. How about making mounting points to utilize the front suspension. I'm just looking for a more modern front suspension for the the S30. Justin
  19. John, thats cool that you see my car over there. I like the flat black hood too. Someone placed a NorthWest Z on the window sill of my car over there to. Guess I alot of people drive past that spot. Justin
  20. With all my reading that the front suspension of the S30 could use some work I've been thinking that a C5 corvette front suspension would be a slick swap when going to the LS1 engine. I've been seeing corvette chassis on ebay quiet a bit and that has given me the crazy idea. The track width of the C6 is 62.1". http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette/specifications/ I read in this thread that the S30 chassis factory track width is 53.5" So you would end up gaining 8.6" of width in the track. So thats 4.3" per side of track gain. I figure that would fit under some YZ fender flares or maybe something custom. Just thinking of ways to adapter a very modern front suspension to the Z. I would add a full cage to the car and tube the front end. The tubed front end would be welded straight up to the corvette chassis. With a little thought I think its a very doable swap. The biggest issue would be getting everything to line up properly. Getting the proper fenders to cover the tires. I would do YZ rear quater panels to make the front and rear track widths similar. I wouldn't attempt to retain the rear mounted transmission of the C5. I would just bolt up a standard T56. What do you all think? Am I crazy? You get: Wider front track Very Modern front suspension Power steering rack big brakes The WOW factor Heres an example of rolling chassis that are on ebay all the time: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Corvette-Rolling-Chassis-w-LS1-Engine-Factory-Five-AT_W0QQitemZ190003847228QQihZ009QQcategoryZ33615QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Justin
  21. More info on the audi can be found in this thread: http://www.motorgeek.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3914 Justin
  22. Also, heres an update on my audi intake manifold project for anyone interested... After all that hard work it was time to celebrate the 4th
  23. I fixed the car so it doesn't look like total crap at the Historic races this weekend at PIR. With my limited budget I got a hood off of one of Ron's parts cars at Rusch motorsports. It was a please to meet Paul and Ron. They are great guys and I recommend them for any of your Z needs. A little sanding and 2 spray paints cans of flat black and I think its decent. Its definitely not even, but its better then the bent up hood I had on it before. Regards, Justin
  24. How much do the 7M's weigh and what kind of power do they make? Do they rev much beyond 7500rpm? Justin
  25. I called centerline today to get a quote on Big Sur 17X9.5" with 5" backspacing and 4*4.5. I get a price of 296+freight. The kicker is that they are discontinuing the wheel. Justin
