  1. Ive seen Pictures of head's with water/oil holes tapped out on them. Although i cant remember where i put them i"m quite sure its been done. As described by other member's simply routing water directly to the 5th cylinder area of the head my fix it. I have an extra N42, although id atleast want something for it.
  2. The extra torque is minimal between the F20C and F22C, If you go F22C expect to pay more as well because there newer motors The F Series transmission's are pretty low geared. I don't think you'd have a problem

  4. It probably has at least $15,000 dollars worth of parts already in it and the fact that its a classic it'll sell a lot. Just look Mikuni Triples, Fuel Cell , Comp 5 Speed Etc

  7. 280ZForce:You should route the spark plug wires around the valve cover it really cleans up the look. and the valve cover breather looks a little old
  8. Well I have a P90 and a N42 in my garage, So im in luck! Which one would better for High Rpm's. Since i plan on having everything balanced, It might not matter but who knows Now i just need to get those triples.
  9. Ive Yet to see someone on HZ come forward with either a Geiken Head (not even for the 4 Cylinder L series) or the LY Head But there was someone who posted a rare rally head in one of braap's threads about heads Lets keep our heads up though someone has got to have one!

  11. Thanks, Ill keep looking. Octane is not a problem 100 Octane race gas down the street from my house. Im just worried that ill blow my motor really early which i dont want. I want a high C/R though for power
  12. Alright so im planning on building a monster N/A l Series, After doing substantial reading ive came to the conclusion that with an E31 head my compression will be very high. But if i ever detonate the rings or head gasket will blow instantly. So i plan on having an HKS 2mm headgasket and some other stuff to lower the C/R slightly This is going to be a race motor and i want to run Triple Mikuni's, Solex's etc whatever i find first. Im on a budget and so far it looks like 1k is a really low price for these with manifold carbs etc, Now i was thinking i just might be able to get them from a Junkyard (i will rebuild them ofcourse) Ive heard they come on Toyota's what else do they come on? would it be better to just spend like 1k on them? The motor will be a 3.1 or 3.0 l stroker as well. So i plan on having everything balanced. What do you guys thing of a setup like this? How well would this perform without porting and with porting? Just give me your thoughts
  13. I love it, Really well built engines i bet. I wouldnt dare stick an OS geiken head on a bottom end that wasnt extremely well built!

  17. It would be really neat to have it set up like you mentioned, except keep the speed of the pump with the motor. What do you think the problem with the pump is if you have any idea's could be that the pump motor getting hot heats up the water or something. i want to see someone hook an electric motor up to just the stock water pump like some v8's setups so its belt driven but not by the crank.
  18. If the L series really ran hot Nissan would've done something. But the entire S30 and S130 Run had Viscous fan's they never changed the design. Although I remember Nissan supplying different hoods for overheating 240z's along time ago Timz: How did the CSR water pump work for you? Worthwhile investment. Ive not heard anything really good about them so far.

  20. While this is up again. I have N42 Head l26 Block Entire ECU and wiring harness for L28E 280zx Intake Manifold and exhaust 280z Afm 280zx Dizzy anyone wanna trade for some solex carbs please

  22. So basicly, I have to pay for a site if i want the ad's to go away. I honestly disagree with this idea. While i agree People who donate should get some benefit Its unfair to other user's whom have been on this site for years posting help etc. This has happened on other forums if watched it go from donate to get rid of ads to monthly payments. While i really support hybridz i see this as a step in the wrong direction. Plus why even bother donating when you can just get adblock and it will remove everything still seems unfair to donation users. Ive been here for a little while i support hybridz i just dont want this site to start making me pay when i support and help out aswell
