  1. Not just the water cock controls the heat. The blend door in the HVAC unit behind the instrument panel also controls heat. Check your vacuum lines and actuators. The blower motor on the other hand, I have no idea. Maybe check the wiring?
  2. Is it a series 1 or 2? MAF's are a dime a dozen. If it is a series 1, use a j30 or z32 ignitor. You just have to retrofit it.
  3. Oh and you can use the greddy 240sx finned cover if you modify your diff mount. Love your cartoon.... If you know what I am talking about?
  4. Well, I get monthly emails about what is on special from them. So as soon as I get another email with a discount coupon number in it, you will have it. The company is west covina nissan. http://thenismoshop.com/
  5. I sure can, and you dont even have to say pretty please. LOL! For all 87-89 12mm ring gear r200's you can slap in a 240sx CLSD that was designed for the OE open diff. So that means that the nismo units for them will work, the tomei tech-trax, kaaz, etc etc etc will work with no issues. I recently found BNIB nismo units for 580 shipped. The same company sells the tomei unit for 7xx shipped.
  6. Thats a nice baby-eater you got there! I anxiously await you next results!
  7. yep, and every other fs5r30a transmission equipped nissan vehicle.
  8. ^^ Yup yup! The disc is a clutchnet disc. Have I told you about the interchanges for a new lsd? I have been finding compatible used clsd's for our cars from 350-500... I found new ones from 550 and up depending on brand.
  9. And hook up the maf to the crossover pipe...
  10. I made a u bend to get my car to the exhaust shop, no boost though. It was a temporary install only to get me to the shop.
  11. Simmer down dude. BTW if you look at post number #4 by jtl260z, you will see what your post said before you edited it to say crank. 2900 lbs is an easy task, 2500 is not so easy. But don't remove your front bumper, it is structural. I can go out in my garage and grab at least 3 vg30e's and pick them up. In fact I have to move two of them to get at my shiro to work on it. I am not a body builder but I would say that mine weigh about 450-500 lbs, not 550-600lbs. Why don't you just put some coil overs on it? or some race springs/shocks? It will do wonders for the feel of the road and the responsiveness of the car.
  12. I haven't installed the f-1 clutch yet. I received it with the purchase of the SS. So I cant really recommend it or say I hate it. I do however prefer a full face clutch design as they are much easier to modulate. I can recommend the DXD or south bend clutches however. I have driven quite a few vg30 cars with them installed and they are very nice. They are easy to modulate and have a light pedal feel that is very close to stock. For the rb25 I am running a full faced nismo unsprung clutch and nismo pressure plate.
  13. Oh and there is no way you have 200-210whp with an N/A vg30e.
  14. There is no way that the vq weighs 300 lbs less than the vg30. I don't think you can get a z31 down to 2500lbs unless every panel is replaced with ultra thin cf or fiberglass. That includes the doors and all electronics that aren't needed. Might as well lose the instrument panel the passenger seat, and replace the drivers seat with a lightweight racing seat also. 500 lbs is not easy to lose, why don't you just turn up the boost and intercool it?
  15. Ok its been a while... I got a few more thing installed and the car is still running with e the rb25det in it. I bought some new butt-holders for the tattered leather I was sporting. They are Recaro Sports, and damn comfy. I got them for one hell of a deal and couldn't pass them up. Otherwise I was going to get sparco torino 2's. Pic of drivers seat... Drivers seat is mocked up, using the original Z sliders. Once I take it for a spin I will weld the sliders together so that they don't slide anymore. I need to move the seat over towards the door one inch, but otherwise the seating position is much better and I can fit in the car with my helmet on without hitting the t-top. More pics.... Yea I'm a whore Butt fan location... I made up a coil bracket/cage for the ls1 coils that I am going to use instead of the factory rb coils. Now I need to pick a spot to mount it in the engine bay. I whipped this little cage up very quickly, so please don't pick on the welds too much. I will replace it when I get more time. Ok, so I forgot to post up the little surprise. (I'm a pic whore) I receive my next surprise tomorrow. Hopefully pics by the end of this month. Got new wheels... Had to test fit the rear wheels on the front before I ordered another set of tires. They are 18x9.5 +15et with 275/35 tires. They will be the same size and offset all the way around making them rotate-able.
  16. all of the suspension is the same for Z31's really. Doesn't matter if it is 5 or 4 lug. Only the control arms changed. Also the 87-89 turbos got slip on rotors.
  17. Ok, Sorry I took so long... Chaos is back in full effect in my family again. Anyhow, Here is the part number of the fidanza flywheel that I have for the SS. Findanza part number 143301. The clutches are interchangeable between the rb25(push) sr20det, ka24de, vg30et(87-89) not sure about the 84-86, vg30e, 350z, N/A Z32... I am sure there is more like the pathfinder vg30e. The flywheels, I cant remember the interchanges right now. But I will eventually. Pic wh0reing
  18. JT, do you have a new setup? Just wondering what it is if you do have a newer setup than the viper kills setup? PM me if you want... I can keep a secret.
  19. Oh and yes, there is at least one z31 with a vq53de driving around. I only know of one and it is in Vancouver?... Well Canada at least.
  20. Pretty much any swap into a Z31 will cost you more than building up your existing vg30e(t). Look here... http://www.redz31.net/. Jason has plenty of information about the power levels of the vg30et.
  21. +1 I have a greddy/grex oil cooler/filter relocator and the pressure side is on the right.
  22. I have been using 245/40r18 up front for my Z31-rb25det and 275/35r18 out back. In first I get a little spin in first at 13.5psi, but thats about it.
  23. For mustang wheels, the best years that fit are the 94-2004. It depends on the springs. If they are intrax or tokico... pass. Eibach's are ok, but nowhere the quality of the 3ZR springs. The shocks/struts are very nice for a higher spring rate though. Bilsteins are going on my SS.
  24. For springs... http://www.z31parts.com/. For wheels... You are on your own.
  25. Stock fuel mileage for my S1 rb25det is 30mpg on the highway... Didnt calculate city driving. That is with a 3.7 CLSD.
