  1. Is the hood steel with the fiberglass cowl? or is it all fiberglass?
  2. Just be sure to remind your brother that we are all behind him,and that he is fighting for a just cause. There are so many BASTARDS out there protesting the war that it may overshadow what the "Real Americans" think. We will get him, and he will pay for what he has done to the people of Iraq, as well as our service members.
  3. About 10 yrs ago, I was actually in such poor financial condition that Rammen noodles were all I could afford. Back then they were even cheaper than now, but I would get them at Odd Lotts for .05 a pack. A complete meal would consist of 2 packs of Rammen and a glass of milk. My grocery bill was about 8.00 a week. Thinking back...I`m almost ashamed of the money that I waste now, even though most people that know me would say that I`m the cheapest person they know.
  4. I like the rear bumper too. I remember that car from ebay last year. I thought about bidding on it,but I already had 4 Z`s at the time.
  5. That missed the top of my glass by less than an inch
  6. Who is it that carries the energy suspension kit? I`m going to need one soon.

    T-5 ?`s

What was the first year for the world class t-5 in the camaro?
  8. I don`t even think it`s worth the starting bid of a buck. I`ve thrown away covers that were nicer than that.
  9. I don`t plan to be gone that much in the future. I will be home for good in 10 days, and plan to stay around for awhile. The insurance adjuster hasn`t seen the damage yet, but my policy says I`m covered for the cost of reconstruction but NOT the faulty plumbing itself.
  10. I started the weekend with nieve optimism. The plan was to take the truck and trailer loaded with tools and parts to Ohio, stay the night and head back to Alabama the next morning. Sounds pretty simple...NOT! To begin with I got a late start. I didn`t get out of here until 5:30pm ct, which put me in Ohio at 4:00am et. This was too late to unload so I would have to do it in the morning.(and it goes down hill fast from here) I head to the house with the intentions of getting a hot shower and going to bed. I open the door and think to myself, Damn it`s cold in here. I check the thermostat. It`s set at 60, but the temp in the house is 40. So I go to the basement to see whats up with the furnace. After fumbling around with it for awhile, I concluded that the igniter had failed. Frustrated and tired, I grab two thick blankets and roll up on the couch. Then I "TRY" to get some sleep. Not very easy when your freezing your A$$ OFF. I gave up trying to sleep around 7:30am, and decided to track down a new igniter. Apparently our local plumbing and heating supply stores think people only have trouble on weekdays since none of the were open on weekends. I ended up driving about 40mi round trip to get one in a neighboring town. When I got home I anxiously went to the basement to install he new part. All the while telling myself that I`ve still got time to unload shower and be back in Alabama by early evening. NOT! In my haste to install the new igniter I bumped the tip of it and broke it. Not only have I driven 40mi for nothing, but I may as well have flushed 30.00 bucks down the toilet. I called the place and luckily they still have ONE in stock. I picked it up and gingerly installed it. Now I have heat again, But this is where my LUCK for the day ends. Before heading south I had turned the water off. so before going upstairs I turned it back on. Thats funny, the sink must be running, but as I get to the top of the stairs I realized it was not the sink at all. I then rushed back to turn the water off. When I got upstairs I was greeted by water pouring from 4 separte places in my kitchen and dining room ceilings. Apparently the pipes that feed the 2nd floor bathroom froze and broke while the furnace was down. I quickly realized I would not be heading back south today. After talking to my ins company i decided to "FIND" the leak/s. I first had to cut a hole in the bathroom wall. One crack there, but not large enough to cause all of that water. I then cut a hole in the nursery wall, No leaks there. Now this is really going to SUCK. My only option then was to start knocking out sections of the downstairs ceiling. To sum up, I now have the water fixed, but I have a 4'x5' hole in my dining room ceiling, a 4'x2' one in the kitchen, and 2'x1' holes in the nursery and bathroom walls. The only thing good about all of this is that I had the water turned off when the pipes broke. Who knows how much water would have run through the house if I hadn`t. We`ve been away for a few months. what makes this so unbearable,is the 50k we spent remodeling the house 5 yrs ago. everything I had to tear out was almost new.
  11. I like it. I`m going to attempt this swap in a couple weeks, so this info is VERY usefull.
  12. Are they stock style? or cowl induction style?
  13. When working on farm equipement(or any number of things) there are plenty of places you can reach with a mig gun that would be impossible to get to with both hands to Tig. Also, mig is nice for tacking things together. You can hold it where you want it with one hand, tack it with the other, and tig it later.
  14. If the aluminum wire cannot come in contact with derous metal, How does it feed? The feed rollers in my welder are steel.
  15. Mine is Mig w/ tig. I have a separate stick welder for ral heavy stuff.
  16. I personally have all of the above. I am a hopeless toolaholic. My only complaint with my tig, It doesn`t have a foot pedal. If you ever decide to get a tig,"get one with the pedal". They are much easier to control. I still have to play with mine quite a bit to get the perfect setting.
  17. Might as well spring for a tig welder. AWE...Go ahead, you know you want to.
  18. The Z version of "CHRISTINE" I`m seriously considering it. I just won`t tell the story to my wife until I have it home.
  19. Go for it. A stock v8 should easily handle a 100hp nitrous shot. It should be great for getting you out of the hole.
  20. If it turns out to be a 400, it would be one heck of a bonus. Even with the trouble you`ve had.
  21. With the JTR manual, almost anyone with basic skills and access to neccessary tools should easily be able to complete the conversion. I`ve heard some say that total conversion time should take 30-40 hours. This estimate does NOT include the while I`m at it syndrome though. That could drag the process out for years. The key is to make a plan and stick to it. I`m NOT speaking from personal experience though, because I`m terminally infected with the "syndrome"
  22. I bought a very large set of channel locks that works great for filters. I also have a craftsman chain wrench that works great as well. Why are you so concerned about crushing the filter? It`s not like you`re going to reuse it. In a pinch, I`ve even driven a pry bar through them and used that to turn it.
  23. Put a little bit of vasoline on the o-ring. It works for me. Make sure you are using a new o-ring, and that in your attemps to install it,you haven`t torn or cut the edge of the one you have.
  24. I think he`s trying to get the sending unit out of the fuel tank. I`m pretty sure a torch would NOT be a good idea.
