this is so nice to see, i have a few ideas on how to set up my new rb setup with the radiator and intercooler. I am looking forward to all the compete data this is gonna help a ton on the drag strip thanks to all that donated, wish i had known about it sooner i woulda thrown in a few bucks myself -
thanks guys, i got the engine for 1700 shipped and i didn't want to ask you to lower your price kenny. I am hopeful but that might change after i dig into it

Yep still working and i really appreciate you letting me use it for so long. I always planned on giving it back and i figured i might as well do it now if it wasn't for that fpr i would never had gotten into the low 12's with the potential for 11's. My goal is for 10's in the old girl and me and j are planning a trip sometime over that way.

thanks guys, just ordered a new fmic one that will take the whole front of the car up and a new afpr so i can give rags back his There is a local metal working shop that is a sister company to the truck company i work part time at and they are going to do my intake manifold and driveshaft.

finally after me talking about it for 3-4 years i ordered my rb25det today(sorry kenny i found one cheap) so it should be here late this week early next week and then the fun begains i have the haltech to run the engine and for now i am going to use the r200 and datsun irs but as soon as i get the cash a vette irs is going in and the flares are going on back. I am so excited that the car is finally going to become my dream come true!!!!!!! i am going to run my t3/t4 hybrid frankenstein turbo and exhaust. I have to find some good injectors yet but for now i just want to make it run even if it is just at low boost.I know alot of people have done this and kept a play by play so i'll try to keep it to a min. Kinda curious how the map for my L28et is going to work as a base for the rb.

i like the idea of making it work with my new head unit better makes me feel cooler plus as you know a car with alot of power tends to takes it toal on alot of stuff including laptops, mine got slammed into the seat back many times. Plus that adds more weight My haltech was an older one, when i got it i couldn't do the coil system cuz the firmware was too old so i contacted haltech and they helped me out on updating it and answered every question i had great company

yea it does and as long as it has a home mark in the sensor it works great. In order for the haltech to work on a l28 you need to use a 300zx disk in the dizzy cuz it has the home slot cut out in it. i am going to mount a laptop in the car and route it thru my new head unit(one of those dvd ones) and make a custom key board to do the basic commands. That way i can watch everything on the fly without a laptop on my seat(it'll be uner it instead) i'll have to get the config from my laptop i use just for the car and i can send it to you.

Hey stony i have a haltech E6k in my z running my l28et and i plan to run my rb engine when i get it with the haltech. I love my haltech there are so many things it does and can do. Tuning was easy when i got someone to drive the car for me mine is controlling my boost and i love the data logging. I used it for drag racing, it was invaluable for when i raced i could see the rpm i shifted at, timing,boost,throttle postion and duty cycle. I am running three coil packs now and i assume that the rb has a set of coil packs so that should be an easy swap. IF you want stony i can shoot you my config it is set up to be a dizzy less set up.

Thanks again guys yea len i been trying to get a hold of you but some one doesn't answer his phone must be a busy guy Another good reason for me to go for the rb is that len is getting wat too fast and i beleive he is still on the stock turbo

hey guys i have been gone for some time partially due to women problems and spending most my time on my 65 cuda. But i am back and i am planning an rb sawp in to the great pumpkin. I plan to freshen up my L28et to get me by until i can save enough for the engine and the vett irs like scottie did in his gnz. I see alot of the old crew are still on here and i am glad to be back

no no not me i am not gonna have it make that much now that is nuts i am aiming for 200rwhp it makes 150 rwhp now i had it dyno'd before the snow fell.

hey mike i let a friend ride mine and he dropped it going about 15 mph or so and all it did was scuff up the plastics and rub some of the end link off.The bike took the fall very well and still rides like a dream.I now have new plastics on the whole right side and since i am turboing it i am gonna take the scuffed stock pipe off and just run a straight pipe from the turbo.

not nuts just a speed freak Thanks for the info doug i have a spare ic laying around and i thought about maybe making it go where the air box use to and having the ram air duct cool it.I'll know more when i dig into it but it will be soon.Also have plans for a new turbo on the z for this winter if everything goes as planned.Roman yes the bike is scary but after running a 9.92@143mph it feels slow after a few runs.I do have it lowered so it doesn't pull up unless i want it to now.It use to just pick the front end up with me laying on it before.Man i love this bike

hey guys i am planning on turboing my 2004 zx10r ninja i have a small turbo from a diesel ranger.It should be just about right for the bike and i plan to run from 5-7psi of boost.I think the compression ratio on the bike is 12:1 i can check to be sure.What do you guys think?Bike was dyno'd at 150rwhp i am aiming for around 200rwhp.I am getting a power commander for the fuel issues but it doesn't adjust the timing.I was thinking about a haltech for the bike too but it would be very hard to tune on the road I could however tune it on the chassis dyno about 15 mins from my house.

that is a nice run my friend's 75 280z with 7psi stock no bumpers has the spare tho his best was 14.7@98mph he did alot of spinning off the line 60 foot was like 2.2.When i trapped that amount i was boosting 18psi and got a 12.98@105mph. I do have to say that len is doing mid to low 12's on the stock turbo yet he is boosting high but still.

need info on how to hook up a 240 tach in a 280

that is what i found out and the 280 just samples the voltage and looks for drops.Maybe this weekend i'll get time to try and swap the tach's out and see if it works. -

i could but i found out i think how to wire this thing the power runs thru a 240 tach to the coils and then for the 280 it just samples the power. -
hey guys i have a haltech in my car now with coil packs and can't run the stock tach.I have a 240 tach and was told they are current sensing and the 280 is voltage sensing.How is the 240 tach hooked up does the power for the coil packs run thru the tach(usually how amperage is measured)?I searched and didn't find anything on this subject.

thanks but i was kinda hoping for more power out of her you got the lt1 in your zx now? that must be one sweet ride.I plan to mod the bike a bit to get more just usual stuff make it get a bit more air.Thing is everything is so expensive for this thing cuz it's new.Bad thing is that i am getting use to it so it doesn't feel really fast anymore
