  1. hey guys i had a problem with my pump i replaced it about two months ago. Didn't put on a pre filter and i thought that was why it was making funny noises.I just changed my pump for a new one and the new one is loud too.I searched and couldn't find anything on the subject.The fuel filters both of them are good,haven't checked fuel pressure yet but will today.The only thing i can think of is that it's the return line maybe plugged?Anyone got any ideas?I do have it insulated so it's not touching the metal directly.
  2. i have a t3/t4e hybrid with a .70a/r on the compressor stock turbine wheel clipped.The compressor wheel is a 60-1 i love the way it spools quick and hard hitting.Mine is totally stock internally i plan to see how much the stock internals can take before i blow it up and make a nice engine So far i am making over 300rwhp according to my times and mph in the quarter.I have a 65mm tb.2.5"mandrel bent ic piping scottie's 2.5"ss dp then that goes to 3" all the way to the back with a magnaflow zero back pressure muffler.the intake and head are both mildly ported by me and i plan to do some more really soon but this time to the exhaust side.I have a blitz bov,adjustable fpr(it's ragz's),custom fuel rail,mercedes 420cc injs(from tony fruzza),made my own cold air tube to the afm with a k&n filter out front.I have a spearco ic(from timz) the top ic tube is from tim also.All this on the restricing stock eccs system the only down fall is that stock system and it's just the afm that really restricts the system.I have a racing clutch and flywheel (from timz)cv half shafts in the back(cv adapters from andy bailey),Open 3.54 diff in back and nissan tranny.I think that's about it can't think of anything else i have done to it.I run 205-55-16's on the back but i use to have 225-50-16's.I plan to get a 225-45-16 for the back and use my others on the front or just burn the ones i have off :)I have alot of stuff from other people but i guess i know it's well tested

LOL joe your right about the tires they are street tires bald but they are street tires.I have new ones now and i'm gonna get some dr's then i'll see how she goes.The piston came in for my car so i have to put that in soon. I ran that last time of 13.06@110 with one bum piston. I'd love to get to the track with you guys, joe is a busy guy if he can't even drive his z's. The afm can be wound to hold the 370's and it will run nice thru out the whole rpm band cuz i'm getting mine to run fine with the 420's.BBZ is running those injs too and his runs very well i ran a 12.98@105mph with those injs and 18psi of boost a few years ago.Stock fuel pressure and stock dp all i did was add the injs and turn the boost up using a volvo ic.I have to put my 280 on a diet dang it
  4. those are some nice times jersey to bad we couldn't hook up when we visited ragz Those are impressive times for the stock injs, I have the stock efi system too but i run 420cc injs in mine and i have the afm wound so tight it's ready to break.My best quarter to date is 12.86@109mph and my best trap speed was 110 with a 13.06 quarter time this last time at the track.I have major traction issues and run the stock nissan tranny, holds very well.I have to get some drag radials for the back so i can keep the tires from spinning.Ragz rode in it and knows how easy it spins the tires just by the turbo spooling up When i took him for a ride it was running with a bum #1 piston only have 40psi of compression.I'd say upgrade to the 370cc injs and you'll be all set with your stock fpr.Or you can take to ragz and get an adjustable like the one he let me use have to ask him fopr a price tho works great.

  6. i have a question couldn't you just replace the valve guides to better ones?I think msa has some better ones that wear better than the stock.Just a question cuz i was thinking of just using an old head i have here and porting the crap out of it and replacing the guides for better ones and trying it on a test motor.I think we have a guy here that can flow test it but i think he will charge an arm and a leg plus he's not an import guy v8's all the way for him so he'll prolly look at me funny :)I'm anxious to see what james comes up with.
  7. i didn't use a spacer on mine i had the exhaust manifold off so i used a grinder and ground out the metal where it was close to the compressor and put in a heat shield and mine works great.I just didn't want to make another dp after i spent so much on the one i had.

  9. a few of us have z tattoos i am one.Rated has one and a few others he knows but i don't know of any with hybridz tattos.I just have the Z on my arm about 1.5"tall and 1.5"wide.But what ever you get i wanna see
  10. hey guys this past weekend starting on friday me and my lady went to jersey to visit her brother and to finally meet rags and talk to my friend lee.We stopped in harrisburg PA t visit lee hung out for a bit and hit the road. Z ran beautiful only saw one z on the road it was a first gen 300 guy was cool got a thumbs up from him and i gave it back.Only had one kinda race some nasty sounding rice thought he could keep up from a toll plaza and needless to say he couldn't He finally cought up after i slowed way down and he did a ricer flyby.Finally got to jersey and after getting lost got to her brother's house.I went straight to bed i had been driving for 15hrs so i was whooped.The next day i went to the bmw shop to check everything out with justin her bro.That place is amazing so clean and nice justin you have one hell of a job i say go for the one you want most this OCT .Went back home(to his house) and decided to go see freddy vs jason(good movie) then then went back to his house again.The next day went back to the bmw shop to prime a hood for rags that paint booth is just the best thing i have ever seen he let me shoot some on it and i did actually better than i thought i would have.After all that finally went to see rags he is on here sometimes and on zcar.I have been talking to him for some time we finally get there and his cars just totally shock me.He has three z's all in great shape one v8z one turboz and one all stock all first gen z's two 240's one 260.We hung out for a bit then i took him for a ride in my z we had fun the roads over there are weird tho tires don't squeal they just spin alot.Then comes the best thing of the whole trip the trip home on monday.Well stupid me decides to go home with bald tires they made it there why not home?Well ALLLLLLLLLLL the way home it rained and in most places i had to go 40 or 45mph cuz the car was all over the road.Looked pethedic with a nice orange z going 40mph with it's four way flashers on The it would clear up for 30 miles then rain again i was getting so frustrated i almost just stopped and wanted to wait it all out but my lady had to be to work in the morn.So i braved thru it making it home at 1:30 in the morning when i started originally at 8:30 in the morning a 17hr trip making mevery cranky i had to call into work cuz there was no way i was going into work after getting my dog from my mom's it was 3 in the morn before i hit the bed.Anyway had to share the trip the way there was cool fast and fun but the way bak sucked i did get alot of complements tho going to and coming from jersey which made me feel better even some kids in a eclipse gsx waved and said nice car:)
  11. i just rev it up and dump the clutch then stomp on the breaks i can hold it there all day and i do my burnouts in second gear Car will brun em right off if i let it man i love turbos then when i let off the bov goes pshhhhhhh and everyone up here in the sticks thinks i broke something and i get an ohhhhhhhhhh from the crowd Then i have to explaint he whole turbo thing

  13. I have a just a replacement stock gasket and run 20psi and was running way over that accidently due to a bad hose to my boost gauge.I'm gonna try to up the boost to 25 psi maybe today and i'll let you know how it holds.
  14. if your referring to me my mods are a stock L28et block mild ported and polished head,Intake polished also,t3/t4e hybrid turbo,timz's old ic i think it's a spearco,65mmtb 2.5" ic piping all mendrel bent tubing,420cc injs,custom fuel rail,ss down pipe from scottiegnz 2.5",3" exhaust straight thru all the way to the back then to a magnaflow muffler,cv halfshaft adaprts and shafts,turbo rear diff (3.54),and i think that's it.The bottom end and head except for the porting is all stock.I ran about 10psi last year i run 20 now much much faster

I had a friend who owed me a bunch of favors do it for me he's an interior guy.He did a very nice job it had some flaws and he took the seats apart and fixed everything to make them perfect.I picked out the interior color before i did the paint.I actually took a paint chip book and matched the interior and thanks for the complements all of you.Makes you feel good when others like all the time and effort you put into your car.

  17. I'd love to be over there but i doubt i can afford to I'll try to find the link i used to make that mount.All you have to buy which is at any auto parts store is two pieces of metal tubing prolly about 1"or a bit bigger and some rubber busings and some bolts.Pretty simple and cheap and quiet
  18. very nice numbers i tried the whole strapping thing on my diff and i broke my cables too and a new mount.I took timz's advice and did the mount where you cut big holes in the cross member and insert metal bushings weld them in and put a rubber bushings inside the metal ones with another metal bushing inside of the rubber and run bolts thru the old top part of the diff mount and the crossmember with the bushings in it.It has held fine for me and i launch pretty hard might want to check into it if you don't want to spend the cash on one and they are quieter than a solid one.Just another option you might want to consider.

Thanks guys it does spool fast and hauls ass I won't make it to the z meet wish i could.It is a long trip and i'd like to have my friend go with me to be a ride just incase either of us have a break down.Yes fl327 i am going ot get the haltech but i don't know when.Have to fill me in on your race always good to hear another ya drax it spools nice starts at about 2500 and is at full at about 3k or so it's hard to watch the tach boost and the road The mid range is great i love the way this turbo hits it's like all of a sudden.The stock efi is totally maxxed out but it seems to run nice as far as i can tell.I need to get rid of that afm cuz when i rev it up and watch the afm it sucks in and then popps back out when i let off the throttle it is one major restriction.So when i can get the cash i'm gonna get the haltech......... hey i'll take donations the help scotty get a haltech fund

  24. hey guys i just wanted to post what happend tonight.I don't get many races my car has a bit of a rep here in town.Well we went to a town close for a burn out contest i didn't enter afraid to break the rear or wear out my tires.Well after the contest they said it was ok to burn out more so i pull thru and say what the heck and let her eat i sit there for a bit and then let off with the bov going pshhhhhhh.The people where like ohhhhhhhh and i roll off.Some red neck says to me you broke something and i say nope it's the bov it suppose to do that.I roll on and wait for my friends getting complements from the young crowd and looks from the older people.One of my friends i haven't seen for a bit was in the contest and has a 5.0 really nice looking car with nos dunno if it has anything else.Well anyway i'm getting ready to leave and i see him parked at a house so i turn back to talk to him and he's already going out of town too so i turn again to catch him.He pulled down a side road and we talk i was wondering where he was going and he said he didn't know yet i said ok.he asked wanna run em? i said sure i'll try so we turn around on the road we are on and get ready making sure no one was coming we line up.My friend jd lined us up and says go.We both take off squealing and i pull out front as soon as i get traction and just keep on pulling.Jd said there was flames shooting out the exhaust between shifts.i get to about 110 or so and back off with him about 10 lengths behind more.I was like whooooohoooooo That was my first race of the year on the street and yes we made sure it was as safe as it could possibly be.
  25. just curious what they should be the max and the normal operating temp mine runs the highest if about 1300 degrees.
